Save your money, don't use vht spray tint. It will not last in the AZ sun. They will fade back to the orginal color. I did a set of tail lights on my Ram...the were black as black could be. Now they don't look like, they have never been done.

VHT sucks pretty much & usually looks ghetto. Have a custom paint shop shoot them. A guy named Jimmy locally ROCS at doing tails and usually charges like $175 or so, worth every penny as they look FLAWLESS when completed. He shot my tC tails and I am going to have him do my xD as well. Would have to get his number from James or someone else as it is at my office somplace.

Jimmy at Airizona Artworx (602) 760-9339. He painted my car and my girls's car. He didn't do our tails but he is kick ___ at the blacking out taillights, his work is phenominal !!!! And reasonable.

Another alternative instead of spraying them with paint is to talk to Rockblocker on here and have him lay his head light & tail light protection on them. He is local in AZ and does great work. I have my fiber hood and whole front of my car protected with Rockblocker.

If you want them looking flawless and like Jeremy's, it's paint all the way, basecoat/clearcoat. You can then wax them like your car and they look flawless.
If $$$$ is a problem, save up to have Jimmy do them. You will regret rattle canning them or IMHO going any other route.

I didn't realize that you were wanting to do some sort of design on them ....I made an assumption that you just wanted to black them out. So with a design I'd say your better off to go and paint them.

Thats all ive used is auto paint basecoat/clearcoat, works the best and more durable. It works best especially if your adding artwork to the tsillights.

Dont use spray tint.........
