Default Avondale Scion

I just wanted to take a sec. to tell everyone what happened to me the other day. And to give everyone a heads-up if you get service done at Avondale Toyota.
Ok, so I just got my 15,000 mile service done on Thursday. About 30 miles later my Low Tire Pressure light came on. I didn't think much of it because every time I get work done there they forget to reset it. So I get home and do the whole reset thing. And I noticed the light didn't blink 3 times like it should. So I thought that was kinda weird. And of corse 30 miles later the light comes on again. So I thought maybe I reset it wrong. Anyways, it kept coming back on. So I stopped by CB Scion today and wile I was there I had them look at it. They came back and told me that every single tire had only 22 P.S.I. in it when it needs to have 32 P.S.I! (29 Rear) So for this to happen the people at Avondale would have to let air OUT of the tires to get them down that low! Obviously the tires were critically low on air. I had be driving back and forth to Tempe from Surprise the last few days. Scary thought that I have been going 65+ down the freeway in the Phoenix heat where my tires could have blown at any time with my 2 year old son and I in the car. Anyways sorry for the long post; I just wanted to let everyone know incase it happens again to anyone else.

I just think they got the PSI numbers mixed up. I just don't want it to happen again.

Be sure to let them know about it at Avondale. Maybe they got somebody new there or something.

Just an update. I talked to the service director today. He told me he will check to see if their tools are "calibrated" right. Also when I was on their web site today looking for their phone number I came across the pure pricing for maitenence. I found out it only should have cost me 80 dollars for the service and I was charged 160 dollars! So he said he would credit me for the difference. This was after he tried to say the TC service is more expensive because they replace the in-cabin filter, and I informed him that their is no filter for the TC because it will make the AC over heat. Which he all of a sudden remembered after I told him that. Amazing!!

Hence why I am just going to go to CB. That way if something like this happens I can just hunt Mark down! Thanks for the update, hope they get everything square.

^ that's not a good thing to do! when I was by Avondale Scion in December it looked good on the eye but I guess you can't judge a book by its cover. I hope they do more than just give you credit for the difference!!
