Just in case anyone is interested, we are going to be at Carlos O'Brien's on Frank Lloyd Wright and Scottsdale Road on Friday for Cinco de Mayo around 7pm if anyone wants to come!

 

I used to work at Carlos O'Brien's when I was 16. That is when they were on the corner of 16th street and Bethany Home road. They still have great food 25 years later!

 

Did I mention great beer prices that day.. HEY RON DISCOUNTS ON THE CORONA!!!1

I'm officially boycotting Cinco de Mayo in response to 'No Gringo Monday' (May 1st).

 

well i'll tell you one thing. they are just taking to an extreme over that issue. i personaly thought that "NO GRINGO MONDAY" was dumb. i showed up to work and talked to my guys here about showing up to work. so im officially renaming the holiday from "CINCO DE MAYO" to " CINCO DE DRINKO "

 

Aunt Chilada's is off the hook on Cinco. When I was working there 8 years ago I would get there at 5:00 in the morning on friday to start setting up for that party. Good times...

 

Due to recent events, hmm hmm, marches and ____, hmm hmm, and the fact that I myself are not of spanish decent, I will not be celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Have fun with that.

 

If you guys don't come check out Aunt Chiladas on Cinco De Mayo, you don't know what you're missing. I have worked Cinco for the past 6 years and it is off the hook. We have to be there at 12 noon. And did I mention I will be bartending with Jessica, while Ron will be bartending at another bar on the premises. They block off the whole parking lot and there are at least 10 - 15 different bars and tons of people. And Dan, you don't have to be of spanish decent to celebrate Cinco, they don't even celebrate it in Mexico.

 

where is Aunt Chiladas at? what time is everyone going there at? I get off job at 5 pm, if I go I'll be there after work. What time does everything start at?

If you are not of Mexican descent you should be celebrating Cinco de Mayo. It's not a big deal in Mexico.
