Clubs
So I do not jack Boomster's thread....
Am I the only one that finds it hypocritical that people showed up and participated in the car show that Scion Apocalypse put on but want to criticize them for creating a club that is “Exclusive”? I seem to remember many people who benefited from that car show including myself. Heck, I won $150 or so.
I do not see why we cannot have more than 1 club in the valley. Heck, the clubs are already separating the community. We go to shows and see Scikotics shirts and that separates them from the rest of the Scion community. In fact, I think some of you guys started a small quiet club called ScioNRG. May not be a huge vocal club, but it was started.
Maybe they went about it wrong, but in my opinion, Scion Apocalypse has provided quite a bit to the Scion community. Take a look at the car show they put on for us back at the end of November. They had 40+ vehicles there. They had many sponsors (I think the count was around 30)to include Memphis Audio who gave up 2 1000 Watt systems (if I am not mistaken).
I am personally not involved in a club, but I cannot see how it would exactly hurt the community unless it tries to divide up the community. I do not exactly see how this will happen.
Some people may not agree with things that I do, but I am me. It is your choice whether you talk to me or not. I am using this as an example as I try to get along with everyone. I honestly do not understand the whole club thing. In some cases it seems like the person with the most money to throw around wins. I have a goal of having a kick A$$ car someday, but I will not sacrifice my family for a stupid car. My family is more important to me than anything. The modding thing is great, but it is not the most important thing to me. Family and friends are. In fact, I feel that most of you are extended members of my family. There is nothing that Juanita and I wouldn’t do, short of being illegal or immoral, for anyone of our friends.
Last but not least: Scions were designed to be displays of our own individuality and preferences. So are clubs. Just because I am in one club does not mean that I cannot have friends in another club. That would just be plain stupid.
Anyway, you are all a great bunch of people
and I cannot wait until we all talk again.

I couldn't agree more ^^^, David. I was in many clubs in the mini truckin days/ lowrider days. Alot of drama can be stirred up. I, like everyone can hang with anyone I want, that is the freedom I have been given, wheather you talk to me is a different story. I for one have passed the days of being in a club and do not have the want to again. If someone starts a club, great, more power to them. Heck, I don't remember nothing but praise when Kiss started his chapter out here. How are Dave and Randy any different?

As far as all of the ScionApocolypse stuff goes, I don't know because I haven't been to their show nor really talked to boomster much about it yet. All I can address is the Team ScioNRG club, which is actually a national club.
Before I go on, let me say this is just information and in no means is mean to upset anyone, just clarifying!
Team ScioNRG was something that BiggJ was part of before Scion Apocolypse was even started. He was asked by the National President to bring individuals into their group. If you check out their website, it is an OPEN club and anyone is welcome to join. At this point, the handful of us that were part of it aren't even into the club scene. As you know Chad has turned his tC into a daily driver, BiggJ went with the Avalanche, etc. Just FYI.

Yes, there are new faces, but there always will be new faces. The important part is that we all had a great time and enjoyed each others companies. Ok, I wasn't going to touch these posts, but here goes:
ScionApocalypse was started by a core group of friends who get their kicks by modding their cars. Club or not, these people keep encouraging each other to mod, and try to do something original and take it to the next level. This has been referred to as "keeping up with the Jones' ". I don't see it as keeping up. If someone wants to mod their car until its unmodable thats their business. Or keep it stock if you want. Whatever makes you happy. The same goes for clubs. Love 'em or hate 'em, its your choice to join or not.
ScionApocalypse doesn't have a problem with any of the other clubs/un-clubs. We support the Scion community, regardless of who's shirt you are wearing.
BTW ScionApocalypse will be passing out free popsicles at some of the events this sumer!

I remember in 2004 when the majority ruled that nobody wanted anything to do with a club because of te drama, dues etc.
I myself was part of the Socal mini truck counsel and a member in 3 mini truck clubs back in the day (Micheivious toys, Blindvision and Lowered obsessions), there was plenty of drama but it was a whole lot of fun.
Now that im older, not so much wiser, being in a club isnt as important as it was back then. I just like having a bunch of friends that have the same passion and desire to be creative and different with thier cars and like to hang out and bs and talk shop.
Im not ruling out being part of a club, I just dont like to pay dues every month and never see where that money goes to besides the presient and vice presidents vehicles.

My point was that I saw people complaining that Randy and Boomster created Scion Apocalypse. Some of these people are the same people who participated in the Scion Apocalypse car show. My point was that I thought it was hypocritical to metion this when they participated in the Scion Apocalypse car show. Yes, I know you did not participate Kyle. My other point was that some people were complaining about this when they participated in scioNRG quietly (I know scioNRG is open to whoever doing whatever). It is just they complained that Randy and Dave were creating this "Club". It would devide the community. I was just making comment neither for or against, but the same people complaining are the same people that were doing similar and they participated in the Scion Apocalypse car show. I would be the same as complaining about Scikotics and participating in their show at Right Scion. That was my point. Not to through darts at individuals, just to get people to think about what they were saying before they said it. Hell, I think everyone is great. Dave, Randy, BigJ, Jason and whoever else is mentioned.
My point was to get people to think before hurting others based apon a new club.

I was not trying to be a jerk to anyone. In fact, I like everyone I have met. I just know that people will do their own things and we should let them. That is all I was trying to say. We do not have to understand what they are doing, nor do we need to agree with what they are doing. Just be there if something were to happen.
It sounds like someone might have taken what I said the wrong way. If so, I appoligize! Everyone I have met is good people. I would not do anything to make someone mad, just try to give an opinion. So, like I said, if I offended or made someone mad, I appoligize!
