Complaints and feedback for SUPER MOD in AZ
I recently edited someones thread by updating the information on the roll call that they created without checking with the originator first. While it was done with all good intentions to help the cause it did not go over well with the originator. I apologize publically for doing that and promise that it won't happen again. In the same thread there was a comment made about what I did and I deleted it since it did not belong in that thread IMO. That is why I am creating this thread. I did not delete the post in hopes to hide what I did or make it forgotten, but more to keep the thread on topic.
I am not perfect, nor do I claim to be. Since I have been your regional moderator I have made several edits, deleted posts, and moved threads. In some situations I contact the person who started the thread to let them know what i intend on doing and why. If I do not contect the person before moving a thread I will post in the thread the reason why which is usually because it belongs in a better location or if they are looking for feedback on something I believe they will be able to get more feedback on where it is moved to.
In the moderator cafeteria I have seen several comments that our area is pretty messy as far as threads but I still do my best not to make waves in our region. If I move a thread I normally leave a shadow thread out of courtesy since i assume that people would like feedback from people in their area as well. I don't normally see Super Mods leaving shadows so if I see a thread that I think will be moved I try to get to it before they do since I will not be able to have a shadow present once it has been moved.
I would appreciate any feedback on my performance, if there is something you would like to see us do more or less of please voice your opinion. As a photographer and videographer I am used to critiquing and open discussion.
For those of you who might be new here let me introduce to you your regional moderators:

Hey everyone, my name is Scott and I'm 25. I have owned my 2006 Nautical Blue tC since August of 2005 and have been actively on ScionLife ever since. I currently work in tech support for MTX Audio so if you have any car audio questions feel free to ask me. I'm very easy to talk to so if you have not met me yet you can just come up and talk to me at a meet if I don't beat you to it.

I am a 24 year old kid. My hobbies are Scions and video work. It'd be great to combine the two. I'm currently working on my bachelor's degree in Film and High Definition TV. I have two wonderful kids and an awesome wife who support my Scion addictions. They almost always come to the meets with me and usually end up talking to more people than I do. I've had my Polar White XB since April of '05 when it was delivered to my dealership with four miles on it. I love driving it everyday and can't wait for the mod list to grow.

I'm very active in the ScionLife community and I go to every one of our local meets. If you give me something electronic I can make it work.

Personally I think the Desert & Salt mods are doing a great job. Most of you might not know but I own and run two large forums that are MUCH larger and more popular than SL and I of all people know what a thoughtless and thankless job a moderator can be.
Allthough the D&S forum seems to be mostly a clutter free forum and I think that is because of the great members in addition to the great regional mods we have.

I think this thread should be a sticky, so when someone does have a complaint of some kind they dont have to search for this thread. Just and idea. I personally have to agree with RBasil. I have had some posted removed. But I am fine with it, if I posted something inappropriate. Keep up the good work Scott, Nick, and Troy.

Keep up the good work!
It's nice you have a thread to make comments about the regional mods... I have no opinion either way; however have you considered it says a great deal that you must have a thread to make sure everything is okay? All of the forums I have been on, the mods are transparent, stepping in only when needed and not touching anyones thread when not asked **unless** an edit is needed due to content.
I would consider that a good rule of thumb.

I think we may sometimes forget the difference between being friends and just being friendly and that might blur a line here or there. I don't know what the edit was that sparked this thread but I would bet it was minor and won't happen again. If the original post was a roll-call and the edit was to update it.... what's to get upset about anyway? Unless the meaning or point of the post was changed. Granted, I don't want people re-typing my posts but, updating a roll-call?
Let's move on.

Anyone else have any suggestions at this time?
How does one find every post or thread that they have put up? I tried to find my
1st mod post but it seems to be gone.
I did try the search button, but to no avail.
Thank's
