Default DC Sports Muffler Update see page 3

Ok I have a Big Gripe about DC Sports Mufflers ... Driving to work this morning I decided to stop by frys market place to get a Starbucks Frappuccino as I pull in the drive way off the street I hear something metal bouncing around look in my mirror and see my exahust tip bounching in the parking lot.....

After picking the tip up I was looking at the weld and it seems that there was hardly any penatration from the weld. I have heard of others here on Scion Life have their tip fall off....

Here are a couple pictures.....

You should be able to get that warrantied, it's been a problem with the RS2 exhaust since they came out.

I have heard that people were having trouble's with this exhaust.... Gotta admit....it is kind of funny to think about it though... The funniest part was when I looked in the mirror and was oh crap that is from my car...lol

I thought that maybe the tail piece scrapped the ground going up the drive way but there isn't a single scratch on the tail piece....lol

I'm hoping that it could get warrantied but I do have 52,000 miles on my box but if not its all good I have been wanting a Strupt Exhaust anyway...lol So if they can't do anyting I'll weld it back on for the time being....

just beware that if you haven't done any sound deadening that the Strup is LOUD!!!! I have had that exhaust on my car twice now and love the way it sounds, but even after multiple layers of edead it still got to me.

I have the Tanabe medallion touring exhaust now and love it.

If they don't want to warranty it....I wonder if corporate would help you out since this is a recurring problem with the RS2.0 exhausts.

There's a thread on here with many people talking about having this problem.

Maybe you could get them to cover it "In good faith", knowing that it is a common problem with the 2.0. Factory parts should not just come off like that.

My dealership was told that they have never had this happen when I brought mine in. I showed them the thread on SL about it and they called Toyota parts back up and called BS on them.
Had to jump through some hoops but they replaced it (never did find my tip).

I would just have someone weld it back on if I had found my tip. Than I know it would have stayed on!

Well this seems to be a pretty common issue with the RS 2.0 xB's....there have been a few post on SL about this very issue.....if DC Sports would have done a better job welding the tips on then they wouldn't be having these issues of the Tips falling off for no reason right?? I have all the rigth to call it Crap. I fit was manufactured a little better i wouldn't be calling it Crap but for now it is.....Now maybe the Exhaust for the tC have had a better quality weld on it than for the xB's.

If you were in my shoes I'm sure you'd be feeling the same way.

Maybe I should have the weld reinforced by someone?
