Happened around midnight. I heard my car alarm go off and tire screeching. I thought the tire screeching made my alarm go off. I checked anyways. Turns out, someone did a drive by with a bb gun and shot once at the door and one at the window. Window is shattered and a hole in the door.

Does anyone know where the best local shop i can buy an oem replacement window?

 

Wow, that's kinda crazy... I don't know as far as shops go, but I got my windshield fixed at ever-ready glass in peoria for 29.95 out the door. pretty cheap compared to others when i called around.

 

O. This is beyond repair. It's fubr. I need a replacement. I called the dealer and they wanted 214. Another shop, "glas tek" wanted 180 installed. 130 for just the glass. Its not OEM though.

 

do you have glass coverage on your policy? If so, it will cover that as well, not just the windshield. Check into that.

 

Well that suck you got your window shot, I do autoglass installing for a living, just make sure that the glass you have installed is pilkington, and 200 and from the dealer is incorrect, for thw oem glass is around 600

 

I'll check into the glass coverage soon, I am currently at school. But yeah, i called the dealer in avondale, and he said 200 something, itz not the windshield, its the driver side window.

 

And that's 200 something for just the part, no labor.

 

Man that really sucks to hear about.

 

if you want to eat the shipping and wiat a few days, I can get you the glass for 115 shipped to you in az, it would be factory ati brand, and then you would just have to have someone local drop it in, pm me and let me know

 

That sucks to hear man, I have no new suggestions but know what you are going through. It will all be okay in the end, but seriously that is one BB gun to shatter the window and put a hole thorugh the door

 

So i took off the door panel and cleaned up all the glass.

Thank you for the offer troy, but i found one for 120 here. I'll pick it up Monday morning since they are closed already and don't open on weekends.

The people who did it were in their car and were within a few feet so i think i BB is more than capable of doing damages.

 

i dont know about that. maybe a .22, but i highly doubt a bb gun would go through the door. ive shot 9mms at keg shells and they have bounced off.
