Fourth Car
If the next Scion coming out looks anything like that... wow. I don't see how the brand, trying to youthful, could see that as a big seller for that demo. The only people I see driving the Smart's and Yaris hatcback's are either old farts or buisness looking peeps. I don't see how any teen or twenty something would want to be seen in one of those these days, past present or future.
I dunno... just typing out loud I guess. Scion really hasn't given me the feeling it did when the brand first came out. Even before the xB was released I knew I wanted it and everyone in HS laughed at me for that, then four months out and I had one. Ex-wife got the xA 8 months later and it was fun. Friend had the tC... that first gen of Scion's really was something different. So far with the new ones... and I'm sorry Chad but the looks (inside and out) on both t2B and xD bore me to death/look horrible (the xD's interior designer... God help him).
About the only improvement is the engine. Which whips out what, 148hp with the 2.4 liter Camry engine? 21/28 mpg... pretty significant downgrade from the first gen mpg wise. It's surely packing some pick-up now and after driving the new xB at least 6 times in the last three weeks at numerous dealerships while looking for a new vehicle, I've realized the engine is the only thing I do like.
This has all gone into quite a rant, sorry about that but seeing that, along with that atrocious concept a little while back has had me give up on Scion for the time being. Bring that FUSE concept into reality and things would be different...

I'm still pushing for a mini-truck.
I disagree, I think it's target is more along the lines of a smart car. Pure functionality / point a-b transportation. I saw a ton of cars like this the last 2 weeks in europe. Loved the idea.
