Well as some of you may know, ive had my tC since January. I got to say i love it!
But anyways, this morning i didnt notice i was going 80 in the HOV lane. Thats the only thing i hate about new cars, is not being able to feel how fast your going. so to make a long story short I had an encounter with the red and blu and recieved a ticket for 80 in a 55 off of southbound 51 and indian school exit.

 

and to top things off....
the year make and model of my car are:
06 Toyota Scion 2D.
anyone else out there drive a toyota Scion or am i the only one!

 

LOL.. yea.. Toyota Scion 4dr wgn is what they have my box listed as.

 

dang.. and here i thought i was special.

Go to traffic safety school if you have not been in the last 2 years...If you go to the school, you only pay for the class and not the ticket...Plus side is no points on your license and no insurance penalty's...It's like you never got a ticket...

P.S. Did he write you a criminal speeding ticket or just the civil?

 

That's why I don't speed especially cause I got a CDL driver's license. School wouldn't work for me and me fines would be double cause i'm considered a professional driver. Also instead of having .08 alchohol content mine would have to be .04 alchohol content. So definately no DRINKING AND DRIVING!

I got a ticket for 96 in a 70...$175 amd my car was a Red Toyota 2DR...I thought about fighting it since it wasn't the politically correct make/model of my car but I just sent in the money order for the ticket since I got it out of town and didn't want to go back to court the next week.

 

A speeding ticket is not marked as criminal unless you are going at least 20mph over the posted limit.

 

Also instead of having .08 alchohol content mine would have to be .04 alchohol content. So definately no DRINKING AND DRIVING!

Actually in this state, a .01 will get you a D.U.I. since its a no tolerance state.

 

I happen to be police officer and I am aware that 20 over is criminal...In his original post he stated he received a ticket for 80 in a 55, making it 25 over...That's why I asked if the officer made it criminal...

 

My mistake, I thought he said he was doing 80 in a 65.

 

That sucks, its seems like al the scions are getting caught~

 

I heard today that a stock scion xb is very close to not being street legal cause of it ride height. I am not sure the truth behind it, but it did come from a california DPS officer.

 

Time for bj' stealth scion project... now all i gotta do it break into boing and get their special paint... and put lots of triagular shapes on my car..... oh wait a minute... i could just not speed.. its worked so far

 

fight it. you drive a scion, not a toyota.
