Ok RJ help me out, i'm just a little confused...I thought the group buy was for the spacers not the shims...So what your saying is we can choose between the spacers or shims correct? I know the shims go behind the whole assembly/hub where as the spacers go between the wheel and disc/drum...If I get the 10mm spacers (not shims), do you think I will need to get longer studs? Also, you said the price for the spacers is relatively more expensive than the price of shims but when I went to OTG website it shows the 10mm shims are $70 and the 10mm spacers are $70...With them being the same price, I am hoping that he will be able to do the same prices he quoted you for the shims...Sorry about the confusion, I just want to make sure I got it right...

What I had set up for us is for the rear shims that spaces the who hub out to make the wheel match up to the front.
This would be just the kit for the rear and the price break down is as above posted.

Now the spacers

On the rear for the 10mm I would say yes with going for a longer stud just for safety sake. That is my opinion.

the spacers would be 2 kits you would have to buy.. 10mm for rear.. and 5mm for front.

So right now I am trying to get a solid head count for the rear shims so I can see what the final price break down will be.

Now for getting the cash to me.. 2 things can happen.. We can have a little meet up and get the cash from you or Paypal but that has a small fee (like 1.70 or so) when you do that type of transfer.

1. RJ *PAID*

Longer studs would be needed for the wheel spacers..... I hear the Toyota truck studs fit, as for the years I dont know.

I understand the difference between shim versus the spacers...I was excited to see that Van was gonna start carrying the 10mm SPACERS because they require very little to install (remove tire, place spacer over studs, re-install tire)...I'm not very mechanically inclined and the whole hub installation for the SHIMS scares me...I could not find anywhere on OTG website about needing longer studs when using a 10mm SPACER...

I sent you a PM...

Since I just put wheels on...I got a question on the spacers. (Spacers) go inbetween the wheel and the hub/rotor...Correct? The wheels i put on needed the hubcentric ring...wouldn't the spacer make the hubcentric ring useless...because the spacer now sits around the hub flange. Does this make any sense????

So, are we getting the shims or the spacers? Do we get install instructions too?

yes, the shim kit goes behind the hub and shims it out.

spacers would mess with your hubcentric ring. that is why I am not going with spacers on my ride. and your correct.

That's what I thought....so since I already have the 10mm shims on the back. I guess I'm allset in that dept. I was just hoping to squeeze another 5mm all the way around.

rj, let me know the price for the spacers (5mm front) and I will drop my money off tuesday @ Camelback...For the rears you talked me into the 10mm shims instead of the spacers, don't want to have to change the lugs...

Come on people, looks like we need a few more to make it to the $55 price....

rj, since I am buying 2 sets (5mm spacer for front and 10mm shim for rear), does that count double towards the total number? If so, we are at 11 now if I counted correctly since Wade dropped out...

Is Tuesday afternoon soon enough? That way I can swing by on my way home. If not, I'll run over today.
