You get a rock into the windshield. Happened this morning on the way to work. Looks like I'll be needing a new windshield...Anyone know of a good place to take it to?

LOL... I have like 8 good "stars" in my windshield. Rocks in the windshield are a common thing out here in the stix.

 

ha! i got my 2nd windshield at 3K and im about to get my 3rd. box only has 11K.

 

i didnt realize till this last show when i got my windshield all clean how many pits i have in my glass, its amazing i can stil see out of it

Im still on my original winshield since november 2004 and 38.000 miles .. Its only a matter of time til it goes tho..

 

I have been through three... I think. It's those damn AZ highways.

 

I have had 4 and I only have 10,000 miles on my car.

 

I've replaced my winshield once so far but Got another nice strawberry in my windshield about a month or so ago... My insurance is with State Farm and I used Reliable Auto Glass. Didn't cost me a dime consiering I have glass coverage. They even took care of having my windshield banner tint replaced at no cost too. Had to schedule the tint guy at a different time but regardless I didn't have to pay to have the tint redone on it.... here is their info...

I forget who the guy is in the Scion Community, but I know that Dudehit had his replaced by him.

 

accurate auto glass (602-231-4527)- Matt has a BCP xB. They can do the tint strip at their shop, but it takes a couple days and they don't do the killer job that Krucial did on Dagarhart's, but it's OK. They will also use the outside molding like I have if you tell the installer you want it. I don't know if they will understand in the office.

 

Doesn't mat have a SRP xB? The only reason they did my tint was I could never get into the guy that Safelite is contracted with's schedule. So I decided to pay for it.

 

I have several pits and cracks! Just slacking on getting it replaced.

 

I believe one of those lights on the dashboard comes on at about 16 thousand miles in the event you have not changed your windshield..........

But the Krucial job is perfect. I've never seen another one with NO air around the black bumps.

 

True. He did a great job on that. Might be because it is not the metalized film.
