Default HIN roll in

The word on the street is that you HAVE TO take you car in Friday between 12-6pm. No early roll ins on Saturday. This comes from the Scion VIP. So if this sticks, Amber and I will not be attending. I would like us all to protest it and see if we cant change it. How many ppl wanna leave there show cars in Chandler for the night? I live in Chandler, and I still dont.

Crispy, I am sorry to say, but there really isn't anything for us to protest.
So many other people have had to leave their cars overnight in the past.....we were just fortunate enough to not have to do so last year! Yes, I too do not want to leave my car overnight, but I think protesting is a bad idea! Sorry, but I have to speak my mind on this one.....Urban Racer and Scion are already taking care of us big time by even throwing the event, if they ask us to bring our cars Friday night to make life easier for them.....as much as I DON'T want to, I will.

Come on, we can have one big camp out if you don't trust the security that will be there! It will be fun, like we were kids!!! I'll bring the chocolate and graham crackers...who's got the marshmellows???

Not sure how I can help, but I already asked work to take that Friday off....if you need me to caravan you guys back to your place in Mesa after we drop off the cars or whatever, just let me know.....but PLEASE don't protest and not attend because of something this minute.

From years past I doubt the Friday roll in will stick. Seems that outdoor events you can roll in Sat. Indoor events though u have to park the night before. Has anyone contacted Urban Racer and asked yet? Generally speaking Urabn Racer jsut copies and pastes the info from HIN's site and posts it for us. The rules and guidelines seem to be different from an indoor and outdoor event, but just the indoor rules have been posted in the past.

Even if you did Im sure there will be lots of cars out there the night before with ya.....

I don't think there should be any protesting, Scion and SCION VIP is taking very good care of us and we shouldnt disgrace that. I don't want to leave my car overnight either but you do what you have to do.

One of the things that keeps me from worrying about my car is that they've been doing this show many years, if there was an issue with cars being left overnight we would have heard more complaints about it.

That was exactly what I was thinking, we never heard of any issues from any of the people that had to leave their cars there overnight last year.

As I said, let's make a camp fire out of it!

I dont mean protest with signs and all. I just was hoping maybe if enough of us contact them and express our concerns about leaving our car over night, maybe Scion VIP could talk to HIN for us. Im not trying to start ____, just trying to make it more convinent for all of us. If its friday roll in from noon to 6pm then I am out. I will not be there. I cant afford to drop my cars off for over 12 hours. I am not gonna stay at home all day, when there are other things that I have to do. Specially to get ready for the show.

I spoke with Urban Racer this morning and the roll in for Friday will be 2-8 they tel me and supposedly there will be a 2 hour window for roll in on Saturday but they're stressing for everyone to roll in on Friday if possible.

If anyone has rolled in on a Saturday for HIN before you will know that Saturday morning is a cluster F@!# for organizing all the cars together. Last year they had to turn away the entire Mazda club cuz there was no more room...and Mazda is the big sponsor for HIN.

I don't want to risk us not getting in so if you can roll in Friday I would highly suggest it. If you join us on sat morning you will still be with the Scions but your placement might not be as good and could be very hard to get you to that area if cars are in the way.

If anyone needs a ride home the dagarhart shuttle is available. It also looks like the Koolaid shuttle is available too. If you only have the one car, do not hesitate to let us know. We will make sure you get home and back. Congrats to all.

^^^x2

I am taking Friday afternoon off and will be home from work by 11:00 AM. I am going to try and get my car over to Firebird earlier in the day. I know I would like to wait till the latest possible time like most everyone else, but figure it will just be easier getting it over there early in the day.....PLUS, I can get a primo spot for the tCs. I mean all Scions, yeah, that's it.

Let's try to get this a little bit organized though.....

Who need's a ride home from Firebird Friday afternoon/evening???
Can you drop your car off early in the afternoon or evening???
Will anyone need a ride to Firebird Saturday???

If you apply to any of these, put your name on the list and please let us know early afternoon or evening and Saturday as well. Thanks.
