Default How long can I run on a deflating tire?

I checked it saturday and it had 9lbs of pressure in it so I filled it back up. I checked last night and it had 13lbs of pressure and again tonight it is pretty low. I have NO money for another two weeks so I can't afford a blow out down the freeway and replacing the tire and can't get it to discount to see if they can patch it until sat. due to work. It's under warranty if you guys think it would be alright driving to and from work from now until sat. 15 miles round trip.

I might get stuck putting my spare on.

definitely put the spare on. yeah its not a long trip to work but you could end up ruining the rim if the tire finally blows. Besides if they know you've been running on a bad tire for a week they might not warranty it.

Just rock the donut for a few days.

Oh ya thats a good point. maybe if the insurance companies would just get in gear i wouldn't need to deal with this!

Can discount tell if the rim is messed up and poked a whole through the tire? It's the rim that was hit in the accident. the rim was messed up a little bit and maybe it's damaged the tire. I don't want to put another tire on it just to put another whole through it or pinch it

Yea, hopefully they won't screw me over claiming the tire was good till the accident, and it's kinda obvious it was part of the incident. Some family had that happen.

Put the spare on and plug your tire while you have it off.

I rather roll on an ugly spare than an ugly car after you blow it out then wreck.

Not sure you should be allowed to drive if you couldn't figure out that you had good tires in the back yard. Ever hear of fix-a-flat - but in case of rim damage it would probably not work. Just watch out for abs errors if the tire diameters are different.

its a little harsh but so true, just throw a stock on it, i had to do that with mine a while back. and if you really want to know how long, my girls car has had a screw in it since October, unfortunately i am in Korea and can't fix it for her and she doesn't see the urgency

I would put one of your stockies on if I were you. if you don't like just having one on then put all the stockies and rock the steelies for a few days. better than having your tire blow out on you.

Yeah I know a little harsh but if someone is doing something stupid someone needs to tell him to WAKE UP before they flip and crash into someone else and kill themself. You need all four of the tires working properly - it's not they are run flat tires. Friends don't let friends drive drunk or on flat tires!
A cheep fix if there is a nail or screw is to get a tire plug kit for a few bucks - I did my left rear that way and it was good for months then started slow leaking and I had an inside patch put on and it's great again. If you have rim damage you could also have weakened it and it could also fail. You may want to change both rears - I assume that the leaking tire is in the rear and not the front where you really need good tires!

I can't even believe you would consider doing something so stupid!!!!!!!!
