Default I got the yellow out! (and the red)

Here's my latest mod, just completed the finishing touches this morning. Some of the pics are a little poor, but it's not easy to take a pic of this.

I left the "engine cool" light blue so I could tell it apart from the "engine about to explode because it's so hot" light.

How does it look?

Hmmm. Looks good, but maybe just a bit excessive.

Those LEDs in the gauges are tiny. Got any pics of the board after your swap?

The warning light LED's are huge (2.8 x 3.5 mm), it's the ones in the head unit that are tiny (0.8 x 1.6 mm). No pics of the board, but my skills are definitely no match for the machine that made it. Tiny tweezers and the best $5.99 I ever spent at Harbor Freight got me through it.

The little LED on top is for the head unit backlight on my first attempt.

Man I don't know what you're talking about, I think doing an gauge conversion is awesome. I'm like Nick though (N7) in that I'm colorblind so I can't tell any difference really.

I think one of the coolest things was your speedometer panel reading your SL name.

Thanks everyone.

Nick and Scott, sorry I forgot about you guys: they're green.

Chris, my fat fingers, old man eyesight, and a cataract in the center of my vision did ok with tiny tweezers and the magnifying visor thingy.

As far as being excessive, they're brighter than stock but those were all the same color of yellow so I don't really understand that comment.

Wow Brent....that is awesome. How hard was it to do the head unit?? I'd love to get ride of that damn ulgy amber color the stock unit has. I like what you did. Looks great. I need to get on the ball and start doing some new mods to mine.

The head unit wasn't as bad as I thought actually. I'll let you borrow my tweezers and magnifier if you want to do it. I could also help you find the right LED's. There are 2 colors of green, and the mcd (brightness value) is really important for the display backlight and warning lights. I did everything twice except the warning lights, head unit backlight, and A/C controls (3x each).

Cool I'll have to talk to you at one of the next meets about it.
