Hey there,
I just bought my first IPod, a Nano 4th Generation (welcome to 2008, right?).
Anyways, I have an 06 tC, so it has the aux plug to use. I was curious as to what specific cord to use, and then what channel the pioneer deck should be on to use it? Is it possible to use the steering wheel controls to change the song? I went through all of the cords in the house that I have which would fit, and none of them seem to work.
Right now I am using the docking station that you plug into your cigarette lighter, but it's my husband's and he is going to want it back soon.
Any advice for an IPod newbie???

The AUX plug will use a stand 3.5 headphone jack and you plug it in to the headphone plug on the Ipod. You go no controls other then volume through the radio.
To get anymore control you need to upgrade the radio to the '06 premium unit or a unit out of the '08 either the base or the premium and then get the Ipod control cable which will run $70 for the complete replacement.
Once you have that you can skip songs control the volume and everything through the stock steering wheel controls
If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. I run an '08 premium in my XA love the radio give that stock look but still has all the function of an Aftermarket H/U with the preouts and sub controls

Sorry..I just read the IPod thread over in ICE & Interior on the Owner's Lounge section.
So, basically unless I have the upgraded stereo unit, I can only use the IPod directly to change the songs...which is fine. I have the stock unit that came with the car that is IPod compatible, but not the upgraded one.
Does anyone have any recommendations for what kind of cord they like versus another, in terms of if one sounds better than the other?
