It's dark in here!
before:

WTF? Where'd all the lights go?

(Sorry it's blurry, but this pic was tough, left hand holding the camera, finger stretching for the shutter button, right hand turning the ignition key and trying to catch the warning lights before they go out.)
I reversed all the LCD's in the car.
the clock works really well, I can even see it during the day with no problem.

the radio is pretty good, but the glare can overpower the screen during the day.

the RoadyXT XM radio. Well, it looks great at night and I got the bright green buttons I was wanting.

(Jason, I think you might appreciate the display here.)
If it wasn't directly in front of me or if I used a different LCD backlight color I wouldn't be able to see anything in daylight. As it is it's pretty tough to read.

You have to see it in person (at night) to appreciate it, but it's the night-time interior look I wanted. I'll just have to live with the daytime difficulties. It gives me something to think about on my hour drive home from work "What song is this?" [squint, strain] "oh yeah!"

It's really pretty easy, but I think it's easy to screw up because the screen is glass. It's even scarier to me than swapping those 0603 LED's in the radio and the XM.

Did you see that fiberoptic thingy I had at the Scikotics show? That one belongs to my son, but my wife volunteered at the JDRF ball at the end of January and they gave her part of the centerpieces to take home. I have 2 sitting in my kitchen right now. Only problem....they're blue.
Not for long!
That's my Saturday project along with a couple repairs and the laundry my wife can't do because she slipped on a banana peel last Friday and sprained her wrist.
I just looked down and saw the telephone. (insert villainous laugh here)
