Default Kronik/Scion Desert Dog event with pics

Big thanks goes out to the folks at Kronik Energy for invited the Scion community out for the concrete skateboard finals out in Peoria yesterday. Special thanks goes to Cj for taking great care of the Scion group.

Another big thanks to Scion Corp especially Mike and Gabriel for attending there third event with us in the D&S over the last several months. You guys really know how to make us Scion owners feel great about our cars, our community and our manufacturer. Again there is no other one that does what Scion does for us. The goodies were nice, the conversation were priceless and the photos show some serious talent from the locals and pros.

For those interested in seeing the Final competition today go check it out. Take the kids, the family or just go hang for awhile. It is worth the $5.00 entry to see some great skills and effort. Did I mention it was concrete they are working on??

It was great seeing everyone again, but this event was not planned very well. A couple of the Kronic guys asked me "Why are you here today? Tomorrow is the big day, we will have 5 times as many people here tomorrow" Drinks would have been nice as well instead of having to pay Kronic for them. I know I'm not the only person who was not satisifed with the event as a lot of us left early but I guess I'm the only person willing to speak up.

I was there till 3. Scion asked us to come on Saturday so we did. I still had a good time. Maybe would have been better to go today, but who knows.

Kronik asked us to be there Sat rather then Sunday since everyone would be watching the competition then looking at the cars. The pros will be out today which would be cool to see.

I don't think that would have made any difference as hardly anybody paid any attention to our cars even on Saturday. The Kronic guys asked me why Scion has us come out Saturday and not Sunday. Sounds like someone got their wires crossed. Oh well.

I agree, it would have been cool to see the pros. Don't get me wrong, I had a good time seeing and chatting with everyone. The event could have just been planned better. Maybe next year.

That's weird as all of the Kronic guys asked me why Scion has us come out Saturday and not Sunday? Sounds like someone got their wires crossed. Oh well.

plus basil. we wouldnt of gotten a chance to watch the pros. we would have been on guard with the cars today. so many people and kids running around something would have happened and then you wouldnt have like the outcome of how things went.
you gotta remember these things are planned out a certain way for certain reasons. Scion wanted us out there today because they actually had a chance to hang with us and talk.
otherwise they would of been overwelmed with people today that then you would of posted up about how they showed us no love or support.
i myself was there till 3 as well with koolaid, dan, dudhitt,bj, ect.
we had a great time. no complaints.....

p.s...... "you had to pay for kronik?"
i didnt! i just turned it down cause im a ROCKSTAR!!!! kinda guy!

I won't bother commenting anymore unless it is to praise Scion. I guess in this forum Scion can never do anything wrong and always get's everything perfect and any other opinion is always wrong. Constructive feedback when it comes to Scion is not welcome here. Lesson learned.

My opinion above might not be correct, but it sure feels that way.

Ok, so now that something fun has turned into this mess, I figured I would put in.02, as some are probably waiting for it

As many of you know, but some do not, we were invited by Kronik Energy Drinks out to the Desert Dog Bowl Bash on Saturday at the Peoria Community Sports area thingmajigger over by the 101and T-bird. This was a scion 'releated' event but not in itself sponsored by Scion for us to be there. Scion was a partial sponsor for the skate event, and we were all there to show support for the Scion brand and also there due to the invitation by Kronik. The goodies and friendly conversation received from Scion reps were all part of the good stuff we have known to love that is Scion, good people and good fun.

So for all that are confused about who are what we were there for, it was for support and to hang out and watch the skating, so if you think the event was poorly organized due to the lack of attention or free stuff or whatever your qualm may be, you might want to read the original post about the event, it should explain everything.

Oh yeah, love peace and chicken grease, bj made my butt sore!

Positive feedback is always welcome and I am going to be speaking with Kronik recapping the event with Cj from Kronik (the organizer of the event) later in the week after he recoups from the event.

Me, not being a energy drinker I didnt really notice or think about the free drink thing. I heard that some people paid and saw that others were getting them at will, sorry for that. I could have tried to do something about that for those that do.

As Dan mentioned Kronik was the organizer for the event and the company that asked us to show up. I hope that we made a good impression with Kronik so we might be able to work with them on future events they put on and also that we as a community might be putting on. Ie a CB event or something else.

Scion being a sponsor of the event, I thought they did a great job with the gear, conversations and hanging out with us. If someone has feedback on what they could do better, I am sure they are willing to listen. That is the feeling I get from them each time we talk.

I don't show up to many events, so tell me if I'm wrong.

RBasil, you need to organize your OWN event so it can be run the way way you want.
As you will see, not everyone will be pleased with the final outcome. I keep seeing you bash every event you attend. Pretty soon, you won't be welcome to anything. Being a part of the show scene/ carclub scene in Texas for years, I have never heard this much complaining out of one person in my life.. Enough is enough, if you don't like it dont go!

RockBlocker, thank you for all you do with the different organizations to help promote D&S the way many of us probably could not do. Scion has done nothing but take care of us as owners. Can anyone say the same about their car company? I think not!

Ok, I'm done. I hope I didn't hurt any feelings.
