Let's Start A Phoenix Area Scion Club
Where is your coffee shop? Who else owns a business? Maybe we can help each other's business by meeting at the locations and attract customers for each other. It would be great if I can get everyone to meet in the parking lot of my shop. I can have flyers and balloons out, and with all the cars there I'm sure customers will come rolling in for the event.

Oh your signature. I saw that. hehehe. Well I think it would be a great idea. If anyone else has shops we can work something out. There is a Harley shop right next door to my shop, so we can probably have bot bikes and scions there for more attractions. I've seen these mini car shows before in parking lots around my area, which is cavecreek and greenway. They attract alot of customers. I know I need to do something to pick up business for myself. Competition is killing me!

Definatley support the idea of a club, excellent to meet new people who found pure pricing in their life. Although I'm not local to the Pa-Honix area, I sometimes ride up to the Pavilions to hang out with fellow Scionists'.
Anyone from the Southern Az or Tucson area should hit Mike up to find out more about ScioNRG.
And it's free

Currently I only hav the 98cent store on greenway rd. and cavecreek. We've been there for a decade now. Two years ago I had a water and ice shop, and they held a big car show there before. The car show helped the business in that plaza alot.

The idea of kicking the get togthers around the valley has been brought up and makes a very valid point. There are some really cool things that are going to be happining in the next 8 weeks. I am not at liberty to talk about it now but just wait, it is going to blow all of your minds!
I think that we are going to be a washout @ The Pavillions this Saturday Night. So what do you all think about a meet @ The Chick-Fil-A next Saturday night(3/12)? We could get together say around 7:00 pm? I'll start a new post and see what kind of interest can be generated.

Take the 10 to the 60 and go a few exits until you see the McClintock exit.
Turn right on McClintock (south)
Go about 1/4 -1/2 mile south... IIRC you go through one smaller light before you get to baseline.
Turn left just after Baseline onto the S/E corner shopping center (I think). Or you might want to turn left at Baseline and then take a right into the shopping center.
For those in need of a map and Directions... Go here and put in your address. It won't guide you to the exact shop or anything, but it'll get you to the intersection. It's on the South East corner.
By the way, Sprso 2, how long have you been open there? I used to live on Dorsey and Southen a few years ago. I never noticed your shop while I was driving around.
Back to the club idea, and not to rain on anyone's parade... but I voted yes. It'd be cool to be part of a bigger national club, but I think that a smaller tight-knit local club has many upsides to it as well. Aside from which, do the two need to be mutually exclusive of each other... I mean why couldn't someone belong to both? I understand the argument of, "Why reinvent the wheel?", but there is also something to be said for having our own identity
.
Anyhow, since the early consensus seems to be Scion Innovations, and since I wanted to play around with Gimp and see if it's improved at all over the last year... I made a few quick logos. I don't expect anyone to be falling all over themselves saying how great they are... I mean... well... they suck. But maybe one of them will get a creative spark going in someone else and they'll be able to come up with a killer logo or something
.
This first one I just used ScriptFu - Cool Metal setting - then I took off the mirror image at the bottom since I thought it sucked

Next, I decided to run with the Box theme... and natch, Blue & Chrome

This last one I went with blue again and raised the text and gave it a sort of metallic sheen. This one I did entirely in Paintshop Pro... and is in some ways my favorite, in others, my least favorite.

Well, that's it. If you like them great... if not, well I won't be offended seeing as I have the creative talent of a flea. Oh, and if this does ever become a reality, I've got a server and tons of monthly bandwidth we can use for hosting the website.
