Default My apologies to the Scion Life community!!!!!

Okay, this obviously has been taken completey the wrong way by some of you. I would like to address what some people have said and leave it at that.

To start, my apologies to Randy for bashing him publicly. That was never my intent... It just gets frustrating when you take two to three weeks to reply to my e-mails and tell me you will work on my car one weekend. Then when I e-mail you during the week you say you are too busy to do help me out. If that was the case you shouldn't have said you would work on my car that weekend. I understand you are trying to get your car ready for HIN, but this started months prior to this and you have done work for people that I recommended to you while trying to get you to do my own work with no reply. I was hoping to have vinyl for HIN among other things that I wanted you to do. So, for the public bashing, I apologize, but you treated me, a customer, poorly.

BuddasTC, I met you at Import vs. Domestics, but I guess you didn't remember that since I wasn't there all day. That would be why I know your name is Brian. I also know you are about 6' 4" or so and on the skinny side. If I remember correctly you have short brown hair and had an awesome FM tC. I believe Turbonetics Stage 3/4 and a great audio set-up. Wireless internet access along with, what I thought was, a DriveSoft computer in your tC. Now you probably think I stalked you that night. Sorry I offended you in saying that you didn't know about the situation, but you don't.

MtCX, sorry for causing you the hassle of having to lock the thread. I just wanted to inform everyone of both sides of the situation. As many people in our community already know, this wasn't anything new for me on the e-mails.

To the ones who had positive comments towards me in the thread and by PM, thank you very much. I just like to help when I can, anyone who has known me for a long time will tell you that.

With that said I apologize to everyone who took things the wrong way. I just wanted to share my experience with Randode since so many others do.

To dwestxb's comment.....
Maybe you should have just waited till HIN and say this to his face, you can't miss him, he will be the one carrying the Trophy

Mature, gotta love that! Oh, and regarding Randy being slammed with customer orders and installs, he has done installs for people that have contacted him after I did. What am I, by the way? Was I not trying to be a customer as well?

Dude, the trophy thing was a joke.

I'm not joking about saying it to his face though.

I talked to Randy on the phone earlier about your post, he said he emailed you back a while ago and never got a response from you...

I don't want too get too involved in this as I caught major ____ for my complaints about HIN Vegas. But I agree that it is hard as hell to get ahold of Randy. I have heard MANY others complaign about being able to reach Randy as well, it was just Kyle who made it public. The complaints I have heard have been going on since early summer, well before HIN.

Randy does GREAT work, but I personally think that his lack of availibility has hurt him with some of the local community. Even answering the phone / email in a timely manner and saying "sorry I don't have the time" would be better than no response or a 2week plus response time.

I've been running my own business for over 15 years. There comes a time when your business grows to the point where you need another person, but might not be able to afford to hire one. But if you don't, people have a hard time getting ahold of you because you are spending all of your time working and you have no time for appointment setting / customer service and that's starts hurting your reputation. Randy is at that point now.

Ugh ....

time for me to put on the big kid pants... yet again

Kyle,

I understand your frustration man. But belive it or not it happens with everyone not just Randy. These dudes are busy with all our cars and it takes time to get a responce or a project rolling. you gotta understand that this is RIGHT before HIN and that u cant always get stuff done right away.

For example. i was gonna have randy do a big vinal on my car but decided to let Joe from dezod take my spot because he has a greater chance of winning than i do.

You can get the vinal done after HIN am i correct?

im not trying to bash you here man... and im not saying randy is a god either im just saying try and see the otherside

times are tough right now for all of us.

I cant sleep I cant do my Diff eq homework because i wanna get the car ready for HIN. Im sure ur at the same point.

Remmber we are all here to have fun... its when people start taking it to another level that this stuff blows up like this.

Now Randy is a good dude.. he gets us vyinal cheap... sometimes you gotta pay by waiting he has tons of ____ to do... and a WIFE and a KID....

To the rest of youz,

Be polite... stop acting like punks and writing mean comments. I mean common. Kyle is entitled to his oppinion

its to often that in this community somone says one thing and everyone goes nuts on them.....

im sick of it... we are all in this for FUN! and the love of the car

if your gonna hate... go post on streetfire

In conclusion,

Kyle I understand that ur frustrated ____ i would be too... but its right before HIN and ppl are already running on short fuses...

and the rest of you that broke your fuses... you owe Kyle and apology

Now im gonna go back to being a toys rus kid... godforbid i gotta put these pants on again.. they are starting to make my butt itch

I think a lot of you didn't read Kyles original post very clearly. Kyle asked for Randy's help months ago, this is not a "last minute - just before HIN" project. People he sent to Randy after his work was supposed to be done were getting their work done and yet Kyle's work was not completed.

Then Randy should have called Kyle. I've tried to reach Randy many times via phone only to hear the phone ring and ring and ring and no answer, no voicemail... nothing. I know Randy removed his voicemail / answering machine because his was getting way to many messages. But if your going to run a business you can't expect people to just keep calling you back over and over and hope to reach you. You have to make yourself available on a regular schedule or at least give people the chance to leave you a message.

I am not questioning the quality or dedication of Randy's work. I think we all agree that Randy can do so amazing things with Scion modifications. His business has just reached the point to where he needs some help on the customer service end and his reputation is being hurt in the local community without that help. Why when someone makes a suggestion to try and help a business everyone always takes it the wrong way?

i've been there with randy. he is a busy guy and if you dont catch him at the right time then its hard to catch him at all. i have nothing against randy and still will get work done from him when i need it. but i have emailed him and tried to call and its been hard to get a hold of him. emails he responds to within a day usually and text messages are a really good way to reach him.

for example i've tried to get new interior lights on my car for a couple months now but the timing has always been off. i was ready to have him work on my car but he was busy that weekend. so i spent the money on something else and then i got an email saying he was ready when i was. well i didnt have the money anymore or i was busy and its been going back and forth like this ever since... so in my case its no ones fault. the timing just hasnt worked out yet. but im a patient guy and will just get it done when randy and i are on the same page and have time to do it.

so yea i can understand kyles frustration because everyone knows randy is hard to get a hold of but at the same time he is pretty busy... i mean look how long it took him to get his own box on the ground again.

so anyway... randy, how about some lights some time after hin??? gotta check my finances first though lol.

It is funny how this started out as a thread to apologize to the Scion community, but quickly turned into another "lets bash Randy" thread. Randy is a busy guy, not only doing stuff for us, but also his regular job which does not include moding Scions. Randy has done a ton of work for me and I have had to wait my turn to get to see him. He is very up front in letting you know if he can or can’t do it. Prime example was last weekend when I had planned to go to his place for him to do a quick install. When I showed up and asked where he wanted my car, he explained to me that he would not be able to help. I totally understood after seeing all that was going on around him. Panels were being cut, grinders going and Randy running around like crazy. So I grabbed my stuff, paid the man and off I went, knowing that if I needed something else in the future he would be there.

So......lets all take a deep breath and give the man some room so he can get his stuff done that he has been putting off for weeks just so he could help us. Now it is his turn.

If I remember correctly, he has his kis(s) with him all the time too. I know that would throw a monkey wrench in my crap!

this is not a bash on randy thread either. this is just some of the community expressing thier expierience with randode and getting responses. please people do not take this the wrong way.

I've only met with randy twice and had him make some custom vinyl for me, but he did a great job and I will definitely be going to him soon when I need my suspension done. The problem with running a successful business is that you either stretch yourself thin or you end up having to get help and make less money
