My Road Trip to Cali with some pictures
Well some of you knew I was going to Cali for Christmas to visit my family and well others of you didn't but I had to share a little of my road trip with all of you. On my way to Cali and back I took different pictures along the way. which I was going to share a few with everyone. some are specific to certain people.
I first want to say that the box was awesome for the road trip. Everything went well and had no troubles what so ever. I found that it was very comfortable for the long trip that I made. My trip out to Monterey California was 700 miles door to door and I put little over 1400 miles on it total for the trip. I averaged between 33 & 34 mpg there and haven't yet checked what I got on the way back. not bad for doing in between 70 & 80 mph. Anyway I had a blast crusin the box up there, it got many looks while I was driving. so with that being said here are some pictures that I wanted to share.... Just as a warning there are many pictures. Hope you enjoy.....
Here I am just cruisin thru AZ
As I was crossing the state line had to take a pic of the Cali sign
a Checkpoint to make sure your not bringing in any veggies or anything like that...lol
Not long after I got into cali I saw this little hottie driving this Jetta and saw her licence plate frame and had to take a picture cause it was funny
Joey I saw your sister and had to take a picture for you
I stopped at In & Out to grab a bite to eat and look what I found parked in the parking lot
I had to park close by and get a pic
Ron (AwesomeTc) I saw this guy and instantly thought of you. I tried to get him to pull over and load the box up but he just wouldn't go for it....
Bryan How could I ever forget about you buddy.... not sure what to say but I think this one speaks for its self....lol
On my way from Salinas/Monterey to Bakersfield on Hwy 46 this is the James Dean Memorial. that is the tree that James Dean crashed into which killed him. You can see the metal memorial that is in memory of him at that tree.
Here I was cruisin on I-210 and I saw another box
This was coming thru Palm Springs.....all of the windmills that are used to produce electrial power from the wind
Here I was crossing back into Arizona
Driving on I-10 here and thought this was a cool pic
This was in Quartzsite, How would you like to have that guys parking spot??...lol
This picture speaks for itself but I did this on the way to Cali just to see how stable the ride was. Once I got the picture went back to my crusing speed

Yea Nick you should of seen when I got to Quartzsite the day I was leaving, the front end was horrible from bugs. I should of taken a picture before I cleaned the windshield. Tons of bugs were killed by the box....

Cool pics Chris...Glad you had a good trip...I took the xB on a road trip to Mexico awhile back and you are right, it makes a good traveling companion...I had mine to 110 mph for only 10 to 15 seconds, ok maybe it was like 10-15 minutes but who's counting...Thx for the pics...
