just by looking at the pics of the front end, i would not try to salvage that car. your friend may be able to straighten the frame, but it will never drive the same as an undamaged xB. not to mention that you dont have any idea as to what shape the engine is in. that would be a part out project for me...

just my $0.02

Go to car-parts.com and look up used pieces, I just got an engine off of there for $250. Had to drive about 2 hours to pick it up. They list inventory of junkyards nationwide.

I do have some pieces available from another xB that did an engine swap and a third engine I'm in the process of building. I have:
- starter
- alternator
- radiator (uper hose bracket is cracked, everything else is there, including the fan)
- spare radiator hoses
- fuel rail, injectors, spark plugs, etc
- passenger airbag
- A/C hard line (high pressure lower line)
- heater core (HVAC big, white plastic thing behind the dash)
- two intake manifolds
- two throttle bodies
- two headers w/ heat shields
- extra set of motor mounts
- water pump
- thermostat

Sorry, no A/C compressor or driver airbag. I can't see your pics right now, will try and look later where they are unblocked. Will this be able to be titled and get insurance though if there is frame damage? Was it a salvage title or full one when you bought it?

I'm in MD, give me a few days to look up shipping and price it out. Do you need the throttle body? I'll also have to track down the bolts for the motor mounts, everything is in a big plastic tote from my other engine so I'll have to sift through it. Sould be pretty easy since there's just a few really big bolts. I don't plan on charging much since it ran me pretty cheap. I'm debating one big box or several smaller ones for shipping. I think one big box will end up being cheaper.

What year is it? Just FYI, the 2006 uses a different knock, cam oil pressure and water temperature sensor. I put in a 2004 motor in my 06 and had to take the sensors off the bad 06 and put it on the 04. The mounting holes are the same.

it is an 06, if the radiator is too big to ship i can get one here in Phx for about $70, no i do not need the TB, and if you can also trow the hoses and a/c lines to the price. I also noticed i need the P/S pump if you have that also trow it in.
-thanks
