Default AZ meets MN

1. rooms @ the Holiday Inn Express are $84.95 , there is cheaper lodging in town
2.Yes the date is the 28th & 29th. of Jan.
3.We have not worked out the details on what we are doing when we get there or if we are going to meet halfway and drive as a group.....Hopefully that will be soon

So far the last time I checked we had 23 Scions signed up

This is going to be a nice run.

We're talking about a four-corners run this spring that will include NM, Colorado and Utah Scions. Heck, Las Vegas could even do that one. And a Vegas run? San Diego???

Let's see how NM goes and we'll build on that.

lol yeah it can get a little cold at night. here in Alb, it really isnt that cold, I still am wearing a short sleve shirt outside without a jacket. I've never been to Silver City so I have no idea how its gonna be there. As far as I know about my club (NM SCIONS) the 28th is the date. Hey WINGS you had posted the 28-29? were you planning on staying 2 days there? just wondering. What I was thinking for our club is for us to leave that Friday and get to Silver City by nighttime and then just meet the AZ owners at 12 or whatever that Sat. Im going to checkout the other hotels and get some prices. I have no idea what we are gonna do when we get there, we can just think of stuff to do as we go. wings just keep me posted and I will keep you posted on us.

There's some nice cruises laid out on the Silver City web page. We just need to be aware of the road conditions for some of it.

If it's nice (in the 50s or better) we can do the catwalk. Anything elses Wings?

How many rooms do you think we need? How many people want there own rooms and who are sharing. Also what part of New Mexico is this, and I will make some calls and see if we cant get a better rate if there is a Marriott there. Please let me no ASAP!!

Please try to get a list of rooms that are sharing and who isnt

Thanks Dave

I think it is a good idea to have a pre-NM run meet only for the mebers planning to attend to work this stuff out person to person. Especally with money floating around, nobody wants to drive down to NM and find out that they dont have a room

im proposing a 2 week earlier date for this

so that puts us at Jan,14,2006 for the prelim scion meet.. can we get this up on scionetics??

There is no Marriot in Silver City it's a small town ,they have Mote6,Travelodge,Super
8,Holiday Inn Express, and a couple of old local motels............
Silver City is southeastern NM if you go thru Globe and come down through Mule creek pass thats how you get there , or you can take I-10 to Lordsburg and head N.E. into the Gila Mtns
The nicest place in town is Holiday Inn thats why I picked it , I had blocked out 23 rooms but I dont know how many are left at this point.
The manager Lenny will hold these rooms until the 14th of Jan. , some of these rooms have 2 beds some only 1 some are king and some queen...............

sogone
A pre run sounds good but I probably wont make it up to the valley for it, I am already booked out for Tatts until the run

I am also trying to get ahold of the manager of the Vaquero Steak house to set up a dinner for Sat. night.so lets get a roll call going for those interested in chowing down on some BEEF !!!!!!(all they serve is locally raised cattle)...

As for a show and shine I am still working on that it will either ba @ the Iron Horse Corral (a Harley Shop) or the Flame (a Bar) I'm leaning towards the Iron Horse so that all can go no matter what their age is...
Help me out on these last 2 items with your thoughts

wings, I think I will make the trip unless it conflicts with my schedule OR gonna be all 21 and up people that are gonna go out drinking. So, I am leaning towards the Iron Horse Corral. My manager and I are really thinking about going.

Oh, and I was wondering, would it be alright to bring friends or g/f's? This might be one long trip without a girl sitting next to me(of course, it could make it even longer...hmmm... ).

And, there is a possibility that we will be holding a car show with trophies, cash prizes, door prizes, and the works in the spring. If anybody has some information about this and previous experiences, let me know. I'd love to hear from you.

We don't need to drive all the way to Silver City to end up in a bar anyhow. Iron Horse works for me too.

You Steven! How's things in Roswell? Be sure to bring your camera to the SC meet, you'll get some great ideas from this AZ crowd.

Roswell is pretty awesome right now...with Christmas just around the corner, I'm missin the snow that we have around this time of year but its not too bad since its a sunny 65 outside right now. I will definitely be bringing my camera and a notebook.

Hey
I forgot ....for those of you with a bigger budget they have some Quaint little Cabins for rent in Pino's Alto's they used to run about $160.00 a night ,but if you have to have that realistic mountian experience thats the way to go!!!!!!! it's about 15 miles from Silver City
