i'm down. this will be my first HIN. one question though - does anyone know the rough estimate time we need to drop off the cars on friday?

 

i think there's different windows for drop off. last year we did it around 5pm

scionvip.com have to keep checking back with them. plus there are required things for the show. hin requires that you at least have aftermarket wheels, and 5 other modifications done to the car. vip takes forever to update there website, so you just have to check back once in awhile.

 

Also, don't forget if you are showing at Firebird your car must have less than 1/4 tank of gas. Learned that the hard way last year. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this year.

yeah totally didn't think of the gas requirement lol. i remember lastyear by the time i got home and got gas it was like seriously close to dryness in the tank lol.

 

in a tc, pull off plastic gauge surround, unclip plastic shield, turn gas needle down to desired position, make sure to not turn your car off until after inspection, drive car in. after you restart your car it will go back to normal. do not turn too far, i didnt know the trick and me and bardia broke my gas needle. luckily it was taken care of, i was just without my car for a few days, though camelback gave me a rental tc. but it is too damn hot to only go in with a 1/4 tank of gas, not start your car to run ac and still make it out of there let alone make it home. full tanks for the win.

 

wow thanks for the update on that gas part. that would have sucked, now i'll make sure i drain it. i'll keep putting in like 5$ at a time until the show, lol.

 

Not sure if you saw my other thread but it looks like they are going to be able to fix my car. I porb won't be able to help you out with those parts.

Now hopefully it will be ready for HIN!
