So im looking over the scion website and seeing some options they have.

I kinda like the TRD rims but seem kinda pricey for 18's

What do you guys recommend?

I also like the spoilers they show. Am I better off just buying aftermarket?

I dont want to over pay for stuff. but somtimes its easier just tying things into the loan as aposed to putting it on credit cards etc.

If you purchase from Camelback Scion they have a HUGE selection of wheels (all from Rim1) in their book that you can roll into your loan.

I would say if you like the stock spoiler just get that in the loan at the dealership. I wasn't sure if I wanted the spoiler so I didn't opt for it (i wish i had now). but if you like the other spoilers like

type 1

or

type 2

then ****** one of those up at bbist.com

as for the wheels you'd probably have a better chance of finding something if you just shopped around a little. There's tons of places to choose from. Maybe you'll get a discount from rim 1 since your in the same complex as them

oh, and i've heard from a couple of people that 18's give a bad ride. you might want to check into that too

Wheels are better to get other than from Toyota. Like Camelback has an option to get rims from rim1. If you like the spoiler, get a stock spoiler. Other than that, you can do everything else or have someone do it cheaper. Like lowing, the dealer wants $600 to put lowering spring on the vehicle. YOu can get that done cheaper. For instance, knowing what I know now, I would have gone to the guy down the street to get my windows tinted. It is quite a bit cheaper and he will do things that are not "legal". Like 5%/20% and tint the windshield. It is a cash transaction, but stuff like that (intakes, lighting, exhaust, headers, etc) There are guys in the D&S that can get you sweet deals on stuff.

Be sure to go to Camelback Scion to get your vehicle. Go see JP, Ron, Mark or Bryon. They are all good guys and they will take real good care of you. IMHO

I noticed the ride got ruffer when i put 18's on, but its not that bad. Goto tires.com or check out some magazines like Modified Mag or Tuner, they always have good deals on rim & tire packages.

all i gotta say is that where ever you decide to get your rims....make sure you get the right offset. i had the dealership where i got my 18s and they gave me the wrong offset and now they won't replace them 'cuz they don't think that it's a problem, despite 5 other places telling me it could be a problem in the future.

I've got rear spacer shims 2 help take care of the offset.

I've got 18's as well. The ride isn't the best but I like the way 18's look on a box compared 2 17's.

If you like the stock spoiler I personally would just roll that into the car loan. Unless you are wanting a carbon fiber or an aftermarket one.

As far as the wheels and tires I would probably shop around for them. You can find better deals out there. But it is your call if you want them rolled into your loan or not.

Now for everyone saying that putting 18's on make for a harsher ride..... its a true and false statement. Its not the 18" wheel that makes the ride a little harder its the fact that you have a lower profile tire and there isn't much of a tire wall. The tire acts as a little bit of a cushion, so on the stock tires there is more rubber on the tire wall to take some of the bumps while driving. where as on lower profile tires you don't have as much rubber on the tire wall to absorb the bumps. Make sense??

I personally would give up a little bit of the ride and go with 18's but its all in what you want. you could go with 17's with a little bit more tire wall than 18's. I personally think 18's look the best......unless your wanting 19's or 20's...lol

well i went down to superstition springs scion/toyota today since thats where i bought my tundra.

My experiance wasnt so great, even thou i prob wasnt going to buy anyways, im a very hard sell. I consider myself a good salesperson, and have a hard time buying from a salesman that I dont think is better then me. They did have my perfect xB thou minus it was a manuel and I want an automatic. It was a dealer decked out one. It had all the carbon trims, and billet peices, also the big things i like on it were moonroof and 2 tone leather, also it was black... which is really the only color i want.

I dont think the salespeople there actually want to sell cars.. they seem like they dont want to see them go or somthing. When I bought my tundra the guy was pretty good. He even told me that I should be selling him, but he realized it, and just let me do things my way, and he made the sale with me. This guy just didnt seem to care at all.

So I know some people that work at dealerships post here. So please PM if your looking to make a sale. I have exact specs that i want. So if i cant get what i want ill wait. or ill find a dealer that can. At first I didnt want to work with someone from here because i can be a bit of an ___ when buying a car and dont want someone to have a bad idea of me. But if you treat me right, it will be very easy and im looking to do this asap.

You need to get ahold of the Boys at Camelback Scion.....they will take great care of you. They have sold many people here in the Desert and Salt fourms there scions. Talk to Mark, Ron or Bryan.....even JP.... they will treat you very good. MarkThey are the dealer here in the Valley that has been the most involved with the scion life stuff.

Please Stay away from POWER SCION....... Too many people have had bad experiences there.....I can speak from personal experience....thats why i got mine at Camelback.

i would say get the spoiler from he dealer. then you dont have to deal with ordering one, then painting it. Shop around for wheels. The TRD 18's are soft. My cousin cracked 3 of his. Talk to Wayne at Rim1. He can get you set up. All of the other upgrades can be purchased in the aftermarket.
Are you sure you want an auto? The 5 speed is much quicker.
