Default Paint Fading

I have a 2005 tC Black Cherry. January I'll have had it 3 years. I travel alot so it has 38,000 miles on it and the warrenty is expired. The problem is the rear bumper is fading fast (and Badly). I waxed it regularly with good car wax. Anyone else have this problem and what can I do about it?

Take it to the dealer or a professional detail and have them look at it for you. Without pics it is hard to help you out with the issue. I cant say I see this problem much anymore. back in the 80's yeah I said it. There was a lot of problems with experimental paints the car manufacturers were working with.

Paint Fading Update: Took my tC to Camelback Toyota/Scion on Saturday (Oct 13th). Service Dept said can't be buffed out. At 38,000 miles no more waranty, so they can't help, but will fix it for a price. BULL!!!! A Toyota/Scion job won't even last three years!!!! Not a happy camper with Toyota.

GM used water in their white paint back then.

Shop around if your gonna pay cash for a repaint.
