Nope. But drop in and say hi, we're real close to the track.

That would be fun, but we will not be driving, will be getting shuttle to hotel and on a chartered bus to the track.
Any good places to eat within walking distance of the Sharaton Cresent on Dunlap?

Haha...that is right next to my work, gosh...where to begin! You have your choice of...

Texas Roadhouse (or something like that, some Steak place)
Fajitas
Pappadeux's (great fish place)

and a few other places I can't think off of the top of my head. They are all North of the hotel off of the Frontage Road to I-17...go towards the freeway on Dunlap from the hotel and turn right on the frontage road before you cross the freeway. Keep walking and you will see them all there on the right hand side.

I live right next to the track also...not much to eat around this area, at least not close to the track so eat before you come down this way or expect to pay track prices for grub.

Thanks for the dining tips. Paying track prices for food is part of the fun, lol. I know they make it expensive to get drunk there, 7 or 8 dollars of a 16oz bottle of beer, ouch, I'll stick to my gatorade thank you, lol.

It's about a five minute walk from Metrocenter mall, so you have a food court, some restaurants there, the whole area around the mall is food, and all. Right across the street is a great local pub called O'Connors. unfortunately no food, but they have live music most nights and its a friendly atmosphere. Sit at the bar long enough, and someone will buy a round.

My own $0.02....stay away from Metrocenter Mall!!!! There is nothing worth going in that mall for...just kinda ghetto if you ask me. Flame me if you will, but you know I speak the truth.

Lived in Phoenix for 4 months in '78/'79 and ate primarily Taco Bell, or had ribs delivered from Mother's, sold BBQ'd ribs by the pound, yummmm.

Well, you do have to admit that Metro has gotten better than what it was in the nineties. It used to be dark and crawling with guys looking for a gang fight. At least now its clean and everything.
