Default PHOENIX SCIONS OWNER READ THIS BEFORE IT GET"S GET DELE

Here goes my two cents....

First and foremost this a forum.
n. pl. fo·rums also fo·ra (fôr'?, f?r'?)
The public square or marketplace of an ancient Roman city that was the assembly place for judicial activity and public business.
A public meeting place for open discussion.
A medium for open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper, a radio or television program, or a website.
A public meeting or presentation involving a discussion usually among experts and often including audience participation.
A court of law; a tribunal.

Forums are just that. A place where people meet and discuss. Important or not, big or small. Just discuss. It not called. SCIONDONTHURTMYFEELINGSLIFE.COM. So if someone post something here. It's is your fault and your fault only for taking something personal. I understand that moderators are here. They should be here to keep things within line. I.E. Cursing or inappropriate materials for those young ones. Censorship should never be about someone's feelings getting hurt. If your skin is thin and can't take criticism. No one knows you better than you, so don't read or/and post. Second of all. If someone here post a negative comment or experience about a place or product. THATS THE WHOLE F'ING POINT ABOUT FORUMS.
Read agree, disagree, reply, ignore, laugh, add, or move on. Don't sit there and say that person is out of line for having a bad experience or a negative comment. THAT'S WHAT THIS IS FOR! It's hypocritical, if it isn't why not jump someone's case for saying that they had a GOOD experience..
...I don't see everyone jumpin' on person X for Posting! "THANK YOU SO AND SO FOR DOING THIS."" To make it equal we should be posting responses like.." Well you got lucky cuz next time he/she/it/they could have messed it up!"

This should not be a place to talk smack but NO ONE should feel like they can't express their point of view, because it goes against the majority. If you get mad/sad/depressed/offended, that is your problem with your own self esteem.

Part 2.

It makes me sad to see how the wheels just fell apart of this car community here in Az. We went from one of the Biggest, Most Diverse, Easy GOING, F*ing COOL. Group ( Not a CLUB, because Clubs are bad) to a bunch of little girls. Ohhhhhhhh yes people!!!!!!!. I WILL BE offending some of you. Frankly I am okay with!!!!! On one side we have the dealerships, Not one want's to step up anymore. Why? BECAUSE UNLESS THEY ARE GIVING AWAY SOMETHING, no one shows. Or because some feel it may ____ the "IN CROWN" to go to a certain one or not to one ETC. Sad Sad Sad. The coolest thing driving down Camelback was to see a bunch of kids/adults/seniors/dead mummies/ hanging out the front of store showing off their goodies. F-AQ the prizes. Scion was more than a Scion. It was euphoric status group that belonged to the few in the valley.....

The Clubs. Here are to the helping hands that help you a long the way. Put it this way. with out the ugly cars, the nice ones don't exists. Unless your name is Carroll Shelby, no ONE, and I MEAN NO ONE HERE, has done anything for the automotive industry. Some people here might have sick talent and unique visions, but neon's, air-bags,chromes,L.E.D.s, Laser Cannons, Super/Turbo Charges, Speaker-boxes, Batwings, Flux Capacitors, have all BEEN DONE BEFORE, And in WAY better fashion. It's funny to see someone bring their car out to be admired and then make fun of the people admiring it. So for the rest of us who are ducking and covering from cars that never come out or wish we had our windshields vinyl shut. We will just be POS cars. But who cares. Show me a scion here, I will show you a WAY better looking one somewhere else!

I hope I ____ed some of you off, if not I didn't do a good enough job expressing myself......

Amen. Well said. There are a few key points in your message that are the reason my wife and I decided to avoid most of the community functions. After sitting back silently and watching and reading this board for some time, We decided to just not participate. The few I have met and gave us the time of day have been very nice.

That's why there are places like Roswell...Roswell is a place for you all to come, meet new people, enjoy new people and old people, have fun, let loose, have a vacation, compete with others, win cool stuff, eat good food, but most of all...It's a good time because Scions and Scion Lovers from all over the country can converge upon one little town and have an amazing time.

And, for those of you that can't make it to Roswell...You better go out and show those Domestics whats up and represent the Scion community well.

Good post Scisko. I don't know all the stories about it all, but I've heard a few things here and there and have pieced some things together. All I have to say is long live Scion and the friendships you have gained through Scion. Go buy a Cobalt and tell me how the Cobalt Community is if you really want to appreciate the greatness of Scion.

Good post Cisco. Good posts all of you.

There are a few meets posted up on the Calendar on Scionetics. Anyone ready and wanting to help jumpstart our community should show some face at one of the events.

Show some pride in your ride or club, show some support for everyone else.

So Dwest (and another person in private who did not have the ***** to say it in public) posting that I was using the bodies of dead troops to get free stuff for my xB was my fault? After this was said people (who I thought were friends) still welcome Dwest into the community .This is why I left the community and to be honest am having MUCH more fun attending charity events without all of the B.S. drama.

Thanks, but no thanks. You can keep your B.S. clubs and drama. I'll stay solo and continue having fun.

I so agree with that.....been out of that scene for bout 7-8 yrs and this all reminds why. I have just recently decided to try to get back into the car "scene" but this is the drama that makes me think twice.

Love hangin with people with the same interests but then you get the **** talkers. I dont know any of you fellow Scion owners cuz Im so new to this and bet theres some kicka$$ people and would love to meet them but you always have the handful that ruins it for everyone.

Obviously I dont know all, hell actually any , the issues but they will always be there and always have. So when the cool, laid back, no drama people hang out let me know, Im in!

Same exact thing happened in MA... the community sucks and now no one really wants to attend meets. Too bad because MA was getting really big. Last summer was so much fun.

I hope you guys in AZ can get everything straigtened. Being part of a Scion community is fun, as Im sure alot of you know 1st hand.

That's a sad shame Robert. Because I got to know you and It was cool having you around. I never met Dwest or care to meet him at this point. It's our loss that his choice of words from across the country would keep a positive person like yourself from sharing and comming around. But we all have a choice and I still respect yours.

And. No. It is not your fault. There are going to be negative people all the time. You let him get to you. Nobody I know agrees with what was said, Quite the opposite, people who know you, think very highly of you. Not to beat a dead horse, but what was said was said. I'n my opinion it was wrong and very tasteless, but you are bigger than that, and let them win.

Thanks for understanding bro. Sorry to be so harsh in my last post to you, but it just goes to show that some things posted on the forum can be VERY personal and VERY hateful and when your "friends" don't back you up it hurts even more.

I wish you all luck in getting the community back together. Maybe I'll see you at a charity event sometime.

Wow... Scionetics has 587 members in Phoenix. I know, many joined and faded, but I regularly delete the accounts with bad emails to I don't end up with a dead roster.

587 Scion owners listing Phoenix as home on Scionetics and only 14 signing up?

Time to make your move people. Call or IM or email someone you know that has a Scion. Maybe all we need is a few fresh faces to go along with the usuals? And maybe some of us need to do more to become USUALS again. Starting with me.

See you guys Saturday.

What!?! The infamous...Mark...the founder of www.scionetics.com, and Springquake, the man, the myth, the legend. I might pass out if he's there on Sat.
