Ok Everyone, As I have promised. Here are some pic's of some of my plastic models that I have built. Please excuse a few of the pics, I took them last night around 9/10 pm and my lighting source sorta sucked so I'll have to up date with some better pics in the day light. Take in mind that all these kits are 1/25 scale which is about 8-9 inches long. other than the front engine dragster. it is a 1/16 scale kit.

Anyway take a look and see what you think.


Here is my Battle Board Description for my '62 Bel Air Pro Street, its a car that I'm really proud of. I have 6 months into this kit. This was a $10 dollar kit and by the time I was done I probaby had $150 to $175 bucks into it.

Under the car, I took the Tubs out of a '67 Chevelle Pro Street kit and built it into the '62 kits chassis



Here I am trying to get a pick of the tach just to show you that I painted the numbers on the tach. I know the pic is blurry but hopefully you can see what I'm talking about.





Ok here is a Car Modeler magazine that my '62 got into at one of the west coast nationals that was held in Santa Clara, California. Oh yea and the '49 ford above my '62 was a friend of mine from back home and for those of you who have seen my '71 El camino, he's the one that painted my muscle car. I actually helped him with a few things on that model

Super Comp Dragster, which was made from a Top fuel funny car kit, Pro Stock kit. the body is an aftermarket resin kit. of which I still haven't finished the paint job on it.

Here is a pic of an aluminum radiator that I had machined myself. I had used the machine shop in the Engineering Depart ment at Sac State in Calie. this is going to be going into a '65 Chevelle Pro Street Kit that I have in the works right now. I'll try to get some prelim pics of it. its long way from being done.

Thanks Chris its something that I have loved doing since I was 15. and it took me a while to get as good as I got. Lot of practice and Patience. btw do you know of any places to get a Saita Mini Jet at a good price..... I am wanting one of those guns for my models. All of the kits you see there were painted with a Badger 200 air brush gun and almost all were painted with PPG DBU basecoat clearcoat paint.


I should take a pic of all of my unbuilt kits in my closet.... you guys would probably crap brick's...lol I've got a few unbuilt kits....

in the '62 bel air all of the An fittings the blue and red fittings for those that don't know.... are all turned out of aluminum ( I didn't machine them, but bought those aftermarket items, I did paint them though) all of the braided hose is real braided wire.

 

Scisko, Klyle & Bryan...thanks for the props guys. Yes there is alot of patience involved but whats funny is that it is a very relaxing for me when I build them. I'll take a kit and figure what I want to do to it.....then I go to town. I'll lower the models to make the stance look right. use other kits for parts or scratch build items if I need too.

 

 

I should let you all know that I don't detail every model to the T. but depending on what I am wanting to do with a kit. Sometimes I'll just take a kit a build it right out of the box. I don't always put the kind of money into every kit that I did on the '62.Then other kits I may do a little bit of Detailing..... ie...plug wires, some hoses, maybe add carpet (flocking). Then I'll find a kit that I really want to take the time and go to town with putting many aftermarket Items on, turned aluminum pieces, scratch build items.....something that I know that I really want to take to model shows and compete with.

 

Thats some crazy stuff man. Great attention to detail.

I give you props. That takes a lot of talent to do. Not many can pay so much attention to detail. Man I'd hate to be the kid that decides to play with daddy's toy car one day.
