Camelback Scion will be having another Poker Run this year. I wanted to get this up on the boards in plenty of time so we can promote the event and make it bigger than the last one from two years ago. lets try and break the record for one event with Scions here in the PHX Valley at once.

This event has now become a Charity Event to Benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. As many of you know our beloved member Brent aka Dudehitt daughther Meghan has Juvenile Diabetes. Camelback Scion and myself with the help of Chad have decided to make this event about giving back to the community. Please take a moment to spread the word about this event. We hope to make it a memorable one!!

Rules

- NO SPEEDING Numero UNO - THIS IS NOT A RACE. THIS IS FOR CHARITY
- We will all start at Camelback Scion Located at
1333 W Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ. 85014
- Not required, but we do recommend bringing a Co-pilot for this event. Two reasons - someone to read your directions while you drive and there will be duo challenges where you WILL need a partner.
- There will be Four Checkpoints - When you complete the Challenge you will be able to draw for a card. Best Hand Wins
- You MUST bring the following denomination of Money One $5 Bill, Two $1 Bill, One Nickel and THREE Pennies. Money will be used for donations and/or purchases. See last event if you want to know more
- You MUST bring a photo of your favorite celebrity. B/W or color printed photo. Photo MUST be 5 x 7 photo. If you do not bring a photo we will provide one for you.
- BE SAFE, have fun and enjoy your fellow Scion Owners

- New Bonus CARD Addition for this year - You can receive an extra bonus card for a total of 6 cards to build your best hand IF you bring a NEW Scion Owner to this event. They cannot be currently on Scion LIFE or Scionetics before Sept 30th, 2007. What does this mean well if you find, locate, meet or run into another Scion Owner in your day to day life after Sept 30th, 2007, you can bring them to this event and you will RECEIVE a BONUS Card. They can sign up on Scionetics after Sept 30th for the roll call.

We will have other surprises and releases in the weeks to come. So Stay tuned. There will be more twists, turns and maybe a few challenges this time around.

I do not think I will be apart of the poker run itself, but would love to come hang out! Be good to see some people.

 

Just cause your car is slow doesn't mean you can't give it a shot. I'm sure there is an XA with cargo you might be able to pass. If anything I can slow down and let you pass so you're not last all the time!

hahaha Yeah I hate having a slow tC! Just so boring to drive, I could never keep up with anyone on the poker run!

 

I did not participate in the last Phoenix one two years ago because I have only had my scion for 1 yr. But I participated in the one in Tucson and I had a blast. This will be awesome!!!!

 

If you dont run the event you will have out on half the fun and laughter that will occur. It is not a reace of any of kind. Plus you dont want to miss out on the prizes right?

 

Is this going to take place somewhere in vegas? And which weekend B? Also maybe we should do a poll on what weekend so we have a good turn? Just my suggestions.

 

The event will be held hear in PHX. We are looking at a couple of different dates, but if people have a preference lets hear it. We rae leaning towards the beginning of the month to saty away from the holidays

 

Please not the second weekend. Because I will be in vegas. First weekend that is my vote. HeHeHe

2. - Back by popular Demand the celebrity ride-along will be in effect - who, what is that?
3. - There will not only be stops to select one of your four cards. There will also be challenges to earn that card.
4. - We have selected a date of Nov 17th, 2007

We hope to have more information up next week and finalized before the end of the month. We are talking with businesses for potential sponsorship, venues to have challenges and of course the roads will we take.

We are going to try and make it like the last event and have ALL Scion owners participate and get others to help run the event. Boomster has already committed to helping out since he doesnt own a Scion anymore.
