Part 1:

Ok so I was going to lunch on Monday and got pulled over in Tempe. He pulled me over for my tint. He looks at the windshield and asked who tinted that for me. I laughed and said "come on, you think I am going to tell you that" He laughed and just asked for all my info, and asked if I had a medical reason for the dark tint. He said the main reason I pulled you over is I couldnt see in the car at all. I said "it is doing its job then" So I get a ticket for having my windshield tinted. No big deal.. $118 dollar ticket. pay it and go on.

Part 2:
So Im heading home yesterday sitting at a light and a Gilbert drives by and is stearing at the car. He pulls over and does a U turn and turns on the road that I was getting ready to head down. So I know I am getting pulled over again right. So I just drive up and pull over in front of him. No use in wasting my time. He had to drive like 2 car lengths to meet me. He comes up and I hand him my license, registration, and insurance card all paper clipped together. He laughed and said " you have that ready like a pro" I said it isnt my first time being pulled over. So he says he pulled me over for my windshield. So I give him the Tempe ticket and he says this. "Damn I am always a day late" So we start talking and he ends up being a neighbor of someone that I used to work with here at RF. So he says "thanks for pulling over, I was trying to figure how I was gonna jump into traffic and catch up to you". I told him "not worth wasting my time, I knew you where waiting on me" . So he just let me go and get it fixed. I just laughed and said "see ya next time" . He was cool as hell.


So today is a new day. Wonder what city today holds for me.

 

Nice Big J. We all know you tint the windhsield cause if you dont they cops would wonder how that HUGE of a guy got into that small car.

i can't remember, do you just have a windshield brow or do you have the entire windshield tinted and if so what %

cops generally dont pull you over for the brow

 

Try Mesa, they like that kinda stuff.

 

The sides are limo timted and the front is 20% all the way. No brows for me.


I will just pay the ticket when it is due and move on. I have had my windshields tinted on every car I have owned in that last 10 years. It kills me not to have it tinted and drive. So I just pay the tickets and go on.

Im not sure what the issue here is..

 

ok man, i have limo all the way around for me and about a large brow probably over a foot down the windshield. I know its dark as hell for me when driving at night, how are you able to drive that thing at night and not hit anything or check curbs when turning into driveways or something

Sorry to hear about the ticket... makes me think of that day that I saw you on the freeway when you had your tire issue. when I drove by I couldn't tell if you were in it or not and when I flipped around and backed up to the car I had to get out and get close to see if anyone was in it....

 

I got pulled over for mine.. and when he ask do you have a medical condtion... i said " im crazy enough to live in arizona... i must have a medical problem" he laughed and let me off

Tickets are fun. I love cops. Been rolling with stock taillights for a while, so I haven't had the pleasure of their company for some time.

instantly turns my Limo back into 20% and my 20% fronts into 30's =P

Don't know how much it'll help the tinted windshield, but it should help with them being "Able to see inside" since there will be more light inside.

I dont drive the car very much at night. I have 2 other cars also. I mainly drive this one back and forth to work and then to shows. If we go anywhere like a mall or anything like that or out at night we take the Tahoe.

its just a normal ticket and not a fix it ticket? i always thought that for a tint ticket you had to get it taken off and get it inspected and they will throw out the ticket. maybe that is just calfornia... :shrugs:
