Default Quick release steering wheel question.

Hello,
I was just wondering how hard it is to install a quick release hub/steering wheel. I was thinking about getting an NRG setup but I wanna know what the difficulty level is?
thanks for the help.

Biggy Biggy J.....Where are you??? I think J(NoLimitzInd) can handle that question or Chad(Rockblocker) probably could as well. I think he might know a thing or two about NRG?

It's not that bad, you just have to overcome your fear of the airbag!

I really like my NRG setup, I have the short hub and quick release with a MOMO wheel.

Would it be feasible to only use for shows? Like have my normal wheel for everyday driving and then just install the NRG setup for shows? I love my cruise control!!

Is there any way to modify the cruise control to make it work? What about the gen 1 xB's... isn't there an aftermarket cruise control for them?

with the first get xb you can still use the cruise control. I have the RF unit and mounted the control in the cubby to the right of the steering wheel.

Too bad if you look at everyone in this discussion besides you we are talking about a tC....can't do that with ours, at least if you can, I haven't seen anyone do it or even try to for that matter, can't imagine there is anywhere you could put that so it would look good.

Its all good. As we all know the first gen xB didnt offer cruise control as a standard feature and was not setup for it. Hence the reason why I said what I said. Sure is anything possible. Absolutely, if you have enough money anything can be wired in and done. Does that mean it will look clean and good on a steering wheel that comes off the car? Cant really say since Im not someone else. I know I wanted Cruise on mine for those long drives, but really there was no where to put it and keep the look good and I had cruise on the car so I was half way there before I took the stock steering wheel off.

I stand corrected, my apologies. It is too early in the morning for me, Chad knows I don't operate well at this hour....lol

So, now that makes everything a horse of a different color, that was kind of my only hold up with the NRG Chad, was the cruise. Can that be done as well for th tC??? Now my curiosity is peaked???

LOL, I think there is mass confusion in this thread.

I have the NRG short hub and quick release with a MOMO steering wheel. I also have the after market cruise control with the RF controls.

I love the short hub and quick release, the spacing is about the same as stock and I modded it so the turn signal cancel and horn still work.

Yeah, thats why I was curious. I just figured maybe there would be a way to add an aftermarket cruise control like the gen 1 xBs.

it can't be that hard, the part on the steering wheel is just switches. you may end up with two or three rocker switches, but it should work

The maid difference is that the tC doesn't have a throttle cable like the xB does, so it would have to be a different set-up.
