Default Scion Invasion 2009

Yeah...I know, I know. This isn't what you wanted to hear... The first year, we had over 75 cars show up to the show...In 2008, we had 41 cars. We couldn't find the right date for everything to fall into place and then it got too late. But, hey, don't worry...

Yes, I still work for Roswell Toyota Scion...I haven't met the last 10 receptionists sadly. The only people that still know I work there are my bosses, accounting, a few service guys and a few salesmen.

Roswell Scion will be jumping on board the Spring QUAKE and we are ready and eager to help make it happen. With some even more exciting plans for the future. We aren't going away, we didn't go away...We are taking a break from our regularly scheduled programming to knock off all the monotony and bring on a whole new schedule for the Scion community. And, hey, there may be more than one Invasion come 2009. All of the plans hinge on YOU.

Steve

**edit** Why wait for 2010? Let's do it in 2009...

Thanks for explaining that a lot better than I did. And thanks for kicking in on springQUAKE.

From the comments posted in the other thread I would say people are disappointed about this year but, like you said, if they get involved, things'll bounce back pretty quick.

I'm dissapointed to hear about it being cancelled this year as well but like I'm sure many others I was struggling to figure out how I was going to be able to afford to go up there this year so the event being cancelled is sort of a relief.

With the event being pushed out till 2010 I hope to see it even bigger than it was the first year which was a total blast and gave me many awesome memories.

Ron got a lot of action at least

Roswell is one show on the top of the list.
Give plenty of notice so I can get the PTO approved.
(Not to mention the $$$$$$ for the road trip)

Hey fellas and ladies... It's been quite a while since I have hit up ScionLife(this is my first time to see the new format), but here I am again. Here's a little update on the last year of my life:

Went back to school last August to start my Junior year...Got laid off from Roswell Toyota Scion in mid- to late-september due to economic downturn. I am still on-call to organize any events and may be back on board once the economy turns. So stay tuned and keep in touch.

I have been in Houston this summer doing an internship at a golf course here. Going back to school in Las Cruces, NM in a week or two. And, thats about it...

Update on the car: Got a ding in the pass. door, got a flat yesterday, and hit something on the highway knocking my lower grill out(got it back but its scratched and pretty gnarly).

So yeah, that's what has been up with me the past year...I definitely have missed being around and feel like the black sheep cousin now. Hope all is well with everyone and their families...
