Due to HIN requirements we still have six open spots. If anybody is still interested in joining us and fulfills the HIN requirements (see below), please email us at scion@urbanracer.com or call us at 212 279 2202.

HIN’s Competition Requirements -
“We require a vehicle to be complete, the exterior must be fully painted and all interior panels must be in place. We also require a minimum of five modifications to showcase your vehicle. The only mandatory modification is that your ride must have a set of aftermarket wheels and tires. Other modifications we would like to see but not limited to include lip kits or body kits, lowering springs and aftermarket lighting. There are a few situations to look out for such as if your vehicle is in primer or has noticeable body damage, even with the minimum requirements; you will not be accepted for showcasing.”

Best,

Next time can you state this on the sign up page? Not all of us realized that we had to check the HIN website for the entry rules. I turned down a great event with Pepsi because I was waiting on word of the Fallen Heroes Car was going to be accepted for the Scion VIP or not. If I would have known about the "5 upgrades" rule I would not have bothered entering and would have been able to attend the Pepsi event. Unfortunatly it's too late for me to be include in the Pepsi event.

As you can see I'm not the only car who entered with less than 5 upgrades. Also, a little more notice of the chosen cars would have been nice as well.

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Thanks again for all your support and kind words - we really look forward to a great time with you all in Las Vegas.

RockBlocker - Scion VIP Phoenix is confirmed for the HIN NightShift Event at Firebird Raceway, October 14. Registration will be up on www.scionvip.com this week.

Robert - no apologies needed, we're all entitled to our free opinions - certainly thanks in no small part to the service by many military professionals like you. I can certainly appreciate the special labor of love that your project represents. Feedback is always good for us - and we want to apologize in not making the process as smooth as possible. For those of you who can't join us in Las Vegas, please try to attend Scion VIP Phoenix.

We will in the future list HIN requirements on our registration page so that its clearly understood.

That said we are still making it possible for owners like Robert who received the "bubble" email from us to make the event. While we can easily send out the invites to those of you who might be 1 or 2 items shy of the "HIN minimum requirements", we cannot assure that you HIN will allow the car on the show floor. HIN has the right to refuse entry - even ours. Its happened at other HIN events (not ours) before, so we do not want to put all involved in that type of situation.

If other Scion owners can help Robert and others out by meeting the min reqs, we would be more than happy - make that proud - to have your car in the group display. The aftermarket wheels req is the big one and the most easily spotted by officials.

We'll keep the invites available until the day of the event - so if you guys can make it, let us know.

Again, any Scion owner not selected as a VIP can still join us in the VIP lounge by showing your registration at the lounge door if you are planning on attending the event on your own.

Please give us a shout at scion@urbanracer.com if we can help in any way.

Thanks

Jackie

What's up Bill!

I'm on the fence right now and ScionVIP is waiting for me to RSVP. Hopefully I will have an answer for them tomorrow after I do a lil bit of "Shopping" in Socal.... Hope I can join you all there!

Robert,

Had I known that you were chosen soon enough I would have gladly have transferred parts from my personal xB to your vehicle in order to get you into the car show. Being an ex-Marine myself, I feel that your car represents support from a large part of our community.

Unfortunatley I was out of town last week in Mexico and had no access to email.

If there are any future events where you run a into similar situation, I will be more than willing to R&R the parts myself.
