Well, here goes nothing....

When this post was originally started, the only thing written was a title saying "Scionetics: The real maricopa". The title seems to be a parody comparison to the show Laguna Beach: The real O.C.

The reason for this comparison was based off of the drama that seems to be occurring within the scionetics/scionlife community whether it be negativity toward someone for the specific mod that they have done, the political criticism toward someone for having bush as their avatar, or the diversity of opinion that seems to be creating inconformable groups based on a certain individual's personality or thier capability of "car customization".

However the undisputable truth is that scionetics is not the start nor the end of this issue. The issue is people, human nature, the uncontrolable force that guides us all. Sure, at times in a community as large as the one that scionetics has built, there are going to be feelings of that old high school cliche of the seperation by popularity among other things. There will be a cool crowd, and there will be a not-so-cool crowd. Just remember that life doesnt end at scionetics.

We live in a competitive country. When we go to work there will always be that coworker that has the same job description as us, who gets special priveledges because they played golf with the bosses. There will always be that group friends where 3 out of the 5 get together on a more regular basis and become closer, and eventually the other 2 feel secluded or uninvolved. Where ever we go, there will be DRAMA.

I am currently seeing it both ways. I havent been around long enough to really stick my hand in the cookie jar and have a say in what cookie I get, nor do I want to. I have seen the DRAMA. I have seen the complaints. I have seen it everywhere, not just on scionetics & scionlife. People build communities, people create DRAMA. If you cant deal with people, dont get involved in a community.

So here I sit at 2:30 in the morning, trying to conclude a topic that should have been explained and forgotten, or removed from the start. I'm sorry if I offended anyone by any of this because that was not my intention. I hope I am making sense because I'm tired and to be honest just wishing this whole post topic would just disappear. Mark (bbcrud), you have done an awesome job in what you have created. There will always be a wrinkle in a freshly ironed shirt. Keep up the good work man, its highly appreciated.

This thread is worthless and seems to be the complaint of one particular person. There have been TWO other threads about stupid drama. I dont know what went on to make it necessary to make another one but the majority of us have no idea what you are talking about. Most of us get together and have a good time and no drama becomes of it so if something is going on that warrants more attention then maybe someone needs to inform the group about it instead of generalizing it because we all know it exists.

And Zach Kelly was joking about the avatar. Maybe he doesnt like Bush but there is no need to get all offensive about what he said.

Can we please skip back a month or so and get on with the usual? I am getting tired of all of this "we have drama" stuff. We are only here to have fun and show off our cars and for the most part we all hang out together. There are no cliches or "cool" groups.

blacksandpearl and krazy-scionCe

if u feel that u r not apart of the group then maybe u need to stop the drama and befriend the people u think dont like u and push u out of the group...dont post stuff like this it dont help u anyway...u have caused more drama on this forum then anyone else...please stop!! if you have a problem with a select few then send them a message ...talk to them. dont blow up on the forum pointing fingers at others cause u dont take the time to talk or meet them yourself..u have never once said a thing to me a hi or anything so dont u dare point and tell us that we r a click. you have done this to yourself.

and to sogone there was no reason to yell at alexis she did nothing wrong

and has anyone ever thought that maybe there are others then kelly that might not like the political avatar cause they have fam that is over seas fighting so we can sit here on a scion forum and cry about how upset we r cause someone was not nice to us.

I think the post by KrAzY-ScionCE hit the nail on the head a few times. Eloquently put.

Human nature, being the core of any issue in a community, needs to be accepted as a fact of life. There are some thin skins out there, there are some knuckleheads too, let’s try to remember that when we deal with each other or online. People run at different speeds and altitudes and, if we allow for these differences, we’ll each have a better time online and in real life.

Also… if you want to know what I think of the President, just ask! I can do hours on the subject!

WOW! A post about nothing turns into some heated political drama. Interesting.

I agree with the whole "online" thing. Try not to take things so personally. Most people aren't the same online as they are in real life.

I don't want to stir up anything but I can't say I disagree with Kenneth's (krazy-scionCe) post.

I think more meets that are more involved other than just standing around and chat would help some of the newer guys like me to break the ice with the old schoolers.

After the poker run I felt alot more comfortable with alot of people than before, and I just hope that it continues.

Was this drama, I thought drama was when my boss, the VP of a six hundred million dollar a year company calls me to say that sales suck, I screwed up or that our share holders on the NYSE did not like the return on there monies. That is REAL drama.

I don’t think anyone is/or questioning my integrity or support online or offline, club or as human being. No offense taken,

Avatar, I clearly said “it is not political, don’t assume or ask” and I meant it. Since you assumed and asked, here goes. I don’t vote party lines, I vote for the best person, GB is not winning any popularity contests, neither is Zach. Sorry Zack. I welcomed Zach with open arms before he was here and I still do. He is a long way from home, new and trying to fit in, it sucks being the new guy.

He is like a rubrics cube, hard to figure out at first and a little frustrating. This is life, I interact with numerous personalities professionally and personally every day. Zach needs to understand “intent” and “impact”, how he intended it and it was perceived. This is the mistake I made, the “intent” (GB popularity asking to have it changed) and “impact” (draw less negative attention) was perceived as political, which it was not. I do apologize for this.

I will continue to support Zach and all those that I interact with on and off line. If you want to ask a question or bark up my tree send me a PM. As you can see this is not winning any popularity contests. Peace out……………….group hug before I go

I agree with alexis, there isn't any "popular groups." It's ridiculous to think that when there is a big group of us (50+ like the poker run) that everybody is going to get in one big circle and have 1 conversation. Thats just dumb. I've been around for a little while but there's still some people that i haven't talked to, but its not because I'm not with the "cool" people...It's hard sometimes to walk up to complete strangers and just say, "hi, my name is blah blah blah" and start an interesting conversation right away. You just have to be a little more outgoing and speak up though. Hell, my wife has talked to more of a variety of people at the meets than i have lol. Thats because she doesn't have a problem with just randomly going up to people and saying hi...some of us have more of an issue doing that....but no one is being singled out. And Zach, I've been talking to you since before you came down here, and your a cool guy and all, but whenever I talk to you now, you pretty much are always complaining about how people are hating on you or whatever...I think you just need to relax on that and go talk to other people instead of being paranoid about people not liking you! There i'm done...sorry for the novel lol. [/quote]
