Well, its on my mind alot now.....thinking about maybe parting out the tC after the first of the year. Id rather do it now while its still a "spotlight" car, and Ill make some money back that I put in it.

I voted keep it . But it's your call. Maybe you've got plans already on a new toy of some sort. Good luck either way.

Well some of you may know, I already have an '06 Sti as my DD so there isnt any toy that I wanna buy. I just not seeing the logic of having 3 cars anymore, and now its going to be 2 years that Ive had the car, Ive been to some great shows and I'm starting to feel bored wih it all know.

Some of you know I lost my job 6 months ago and I am having a tough time finding a new one, so the cars been on hold, I dont feel that theres much interest in Scion as there was 2 years past. The culture on Scionlife has changed too.

I wanna build an EVO or an STI bad. Screw showing it. I want to go anti bling with it. Just make it fast, functional and clean.

Sorry to hear about the job situation. Wow thats three people getting rid of their TC's.
I don't really checkout the TC part of this site, but is it just the TC "culture" that has
changed or the "feeling" around the Phoenix area all together that has changed?

Wow that is a tough choice. You have a nice car and the amount of time, money and energy you put into it would really make me think about getting rid of it. I have driven the Sti and EVO which are both very fast and nice right out of the box. No modding required for speed.

On a side note I totally understand where you are coming from on the whole culture change within Scion, especially here. If you notice you don't see a lot of posts from the original crew and most are parting out their very nice cars. As time went on it was getting more and more difficult to be different. No more parking lot meets and just hanging out. It is more about shows and who is going to win the next trophy. I think the tC was and still is a great buy and you can do many things to it, but the “feeling” has changed. I for one am patiently waiting for the release of the 08 Challenger. And if that ever does happen I may be doing the same thing, but up until then my tC stays.

Good luck man and what ever choice you make I am sure it will be the right one.

Brian,

If I was in your shoes I would keep the STi and move the tC. Maybe cause I like hp or the looks of the car. I know I am partial to Subaru's The choice is all yours and I am sure you will make the right one.

Wow thats three people getting rid of their TC's.
Who are the two others. I only know of Big J

That's a bummer. Sounds like you guys used to have a blast. It's to bad I am getting involved in the SCION market here in the Valley so late. I see alot of Scion's cruising around. Alot seem to just be unfriendly. I traded in my Tundra for the Box in August. I am glad I bought it. Your group here seems to be a fine bunch of people. I hope to meet you at some meets or out and about some day. Sorry if I am jacking your thread.

Well first off I understand what you mean by saying that the "feeling" has changed around here and that it was pretty cool while it lasted but we all knew it wasn't going to last like that it became a HUGE competition between everyone. i am sorry to see anyone get rid of their tC but if you are tired or sick of the car then it is time to move on. I for one is now ONLY modding my car for MYSELF and not for any shows or for that matter anyone else BUT me. sorry for the ramblings and i hope that someday we can get back to the days of just hanging out with all our very nice cars and without all the petty crap getting in the way.. i maybe a pipe dream but it would be nice...
