I want to take a poll about what everybody would like to do for eating arrangements for Saturday night .
I have called a couple of places and gotten some idea of prices etc.............
Theres Cabaslleros it,s a Steak house and their prices range from $10.50 to $17.50
in a banquet room this would be a set menu type deal where everybody get the same meal ,encheladas @10.50 prime rib @17.50 they can accomodate up to 100 people.......so we would have to decide what we all want, my vote is PRIME RIB!!!
Or theres the Buckhorn an antique opera house and they can accomodate about 50 to 60 people thieir prices run 16.95 to 21.95 per person depending on what menu we pick .....
The 3rd option is everbody fend for themselves and go their own way for food there are alot of small Cafe type places as well as fast food ..................
Mark or Chad

I like everyone fending for themself exept for Saturday night Wade. I think we should make an effort to do dinner together.
Caballero's soundsgood to me. Can we get any feedback on the food quality there? Anyone you know locally or from your own experiences?

After talking with Chad this morning I think we should just decide where to go when we all get there......and Not try to book a banquet room........But try to Dine together definitely.
I'm always up for steak or mexican so it doesnt matter to me (the Mexican food in Silver is different from what most of you are used to they use alot more green chile and it's usually HOTTTTTT!!!!
thats the way I like it)
My wife was raised in Silver City and cooks New Mexico style and as you all know I'm good at eatin it !!!!!! And we lived there too..........
Sooo we know where the good places are to eat and where the so so places are

Lol...Arizona mexican food is a whole lot different. Last time I went to a place in Tucson, I ordered asado and it came with just a thin steak with some weird sauce on it.
I was a little upset because our asado(NM asado) is like shredded beef or pork somethered and cooked with red chile sauce and some potatoes. IMO, Roswell, Las Cruces, and Alamogordo are the only ones that have authentic restaurants that use a lot of green chile and real red chiles(red chile peppers), but I also have never been to Silver City. I guess we'll see how it all stacks up.
Oh, and wings, I'll be able to hang with ya on the hot stuff!

Caballeros rocks, thier regular menu has something for everyone, though the only reason they give you one of two choices is so everyone gets thier food together in that large a group.
I would recommend eating there, but not getting the banquet room so everyone can order what they like. Wings you might tell the manager that we all don't have to eat together and that we would prefer to order off the menu.
Thats my .02 cents anyway.
