Default Stereo install question

I have a question about a stereo install...I think I may already know the answer to it, but I want to ask just to be sure.

I have a system in my car now that I'd like to pull out and put into the tC...my question is...is there any way the amp and subs can be hooked up to the stock stereo? I don't plan on pulling out the deck out of my car...it's old and doesn't work so hot anymore, and after buying the car, the checkbook, credit cards....and my husband said "no no no" on the spending for the time being So I was just wondering if it can work until I'm able to go out and get a nice head unit.

Thanks in advance!

i run my amp / subs on the stock head unit. and it was quite easy. there are two ways to do it that i know of. either use an amp that has the speaker level input feature, or buy an adaper that converts the speaker level inputs into an RCA style jack.

my amp, has SLI so i just tapped into the rear speakers for the time being.

That's excellent to hear! I forgot to mention that I ordered the Bazooka tube when I ordered the car, would that make a difference in how things are hooked up?

umm.. not sure about that. but i dont think so, the only problem i think u would have is if the bazooka and the aftermarket amp / subs are out of synch in anyway (not sureif that is possible)

But MtCX(scott) may know that -

No problem....there are OK ways (hi/low converter) and better ways (AudioControl LC6 or LC ways.

Check with Sean at Unique Car Audio in Gilbert 480-926-1448, he's familiar with all the ways.

man oh man I cant believe you didnt try and pass the 360 in on that one..

If you are running the bass tube and different subs, it might not sound all that good. I would do one or the other if it was mine.
