Suggestions for Scratch Removal
Lucky me (knock on wood!) I haven't been hit, but I have been scratched. I am wondering if you guys have any suggestions on scratch removal. My tC is Nautical Blue, so every scratch shows up in white...
The first scratch looks like someone had a rotating tool (like a drill) and got a little too close to my car. It's not very deep, but it's ugly! It's a few inches long and goes across the gas door.

The second scratch is on the passenger door and is quite large - about the size of half-dollar. I think it was caused by road debris being kicked up by the tire. It's a bizarre sort of figure eight marking...

Sorry the images are so poor - it's from my cell in the shade.
Any advice you can provide would be appreciated!

I suspect that Chris would know best.
I have found that getting some “clay” and see how much of it will come out, normally surface imperfections can be removed as paint and debris from the object hitting it is on the surface. Then a good color polish with filler can adds some additional masking of the imperfection.
Clay bar kits are at auto zone for about $10 bucks. A spray comes with it, you spray the spot and gently rub the clay over the surface. It removes all kind of stuff, you will be amazed how much crap is on your car. It is recommend that you do the entire car once a year. It sounds funny until you do it, I suspect others here will tell you that a good claying is 100 times better and good to skip one of the details for this option.

The scratch looks like its still white so it may have not hit the color yet. Use some rubbing compound and that will make the scratch invisible, it wont remove the scratch but it wont be as noticable. You can pick up rubbing compound at the same places Kelly mentioned, I would also pick up the clay bar kit at the same time, this will remove any contaminates from the surface that make your paint feel rough.
