Heya team...so, uhm yeah, what kind of problems am I looking at in pulling the valve cover off the head? I'm fairly mechanically inclined...but I sure as hell don't wanna make a mess, and moreover destroy something.

What do you guys think? Easy/not? Should I save it for the pro's?

I believe if you look in the Tech section (top of the page: features -> tech) there is a "how to paint the valve cover" DIY article... that should tell you what you'd need to know in taking it off. I don't think it's too bad.
