Hey BJ I think you can get the city to pay for the cost on that. I had an old neighbor in my appartment complex that I used to live in get paid back for a bent rim on his Chopper when he had gone over some rail road tracks. He took pictures of the rail road track his rim. Wrote a letter and sent it into the city and got a pay check. Not sure how long the process took. But it is worth a shot of writing a letter and sending it in with photos....

Sorry to hear about the luck. I know the feeling with expenses that come at you when you least expect it. I had my tire issues when I was in Cali. hang in there man.

Ouch! That sucks dude! Hope u get things squared away by calling the city. And get a nice check 2 fix your rims.

I drive over railroad tracks and pot holes everyday I go 2 work. Can't avoid them cause it's right infront of my job. Just gotta take it nice and slow over them.

i've heard of the city paying for this stuff too. YOU PAY TAXES for the city to resolve these issues and maintain the roads, if they don't they have to expect a problem like this and should handle it properly.

I highly recommend contacting the city and plead your case. A weel after my gf Heidi got her tC she was driving down the 60 W and got a piece ree bar ( dont feel like looking up how to spell it) right through her front bumper and stuck there while driving down the freeway and right when she was getting off the freeway to take it out it flew off while first denting and scratching the hood and fender and go back at the car behind her.

I had her call the city and highway patrol or whatever and they were going ot pay but she didn't have the original piece of metal so they said there was no way to prove it was from their construction on the freeway even though anyone who travles the 60 knows that thing is always under construction now with crap all over the road.

Don't knock construction. The lightrail pays for my scion! The speed limit on construction sites is 25 or 35. I know nobody ever does that and that's when bad things happen. BJ the risk management will absolutely help you with that. make sure you tell them you were obeying traffic laws and etc. It will prob take about a month and they might not pay for it all but something is better than nothing.

P.S. When it comes to voting time..make suren you guys are all for the expansion of the light rail. When it is done, we could have the best mass transportation system on the West Coast...That means we can finaly ask to host the Olympics.

You know I love ya bro, but even after the light rail system is completed we will not have anything close to most of the other large west coast city's public transit systems. The public transportation here sucks ___ and it will still suck after the light rail is finished. Phoenix has a huge disavantage because it is spread so far out compaired to most other large west coast city's.

Man...with all the bad things you and your car have gone thru. I think you should just hang up the car keys and start walking.

I'm with you scisko! When you are in a construction zone, be prepared for anything and everything. Why do you think we wear hard hats, cuz the sky is gonna fall?
We have all hit pot holes and trash at some point in our lives, and if the city pays for it cool. I don't think Ron got his wheel replaced by the city.
But yeah, sounds like you are having one heck of a time here lately.

Phoenix is going to emplode. I agree with the spread out portion, Freeways are 10 years behind. They should be in the middle of adding lanes to them. The light rail system will kick major AZZ. Especially if they wise up and spread it to the Cards stadium and parallel with Scottsdale. The drivers here suck. (THREAD JACKING!<------) No reason to slow down when a cop has someone pulled over! (HE"S BUSY!!!!!)

take it from somebody who plans how this city expands and develops....the light rail won't work unless it connects destination points and has a solid bus system to get people to the stops....

...btw sorry to hear about that dude with the rim. i've blown a tire, bent a rim, and suffered many chips because of the crappy roads and exhorbitant amount of potholes.
