As most of you know, I was pretty antiSA for a very long time for my own personal reasons, none of which are from JDRF or any other event issues or forum issues that have been going on recently, but I wanted to take a minute to let EVERYONE in the D&S know how much respect I have for Eric and SA after this weekend.

Eric spent over five hours with all of us Saturday night at the Days Inn parking lot. Over this stretch of time, numerous times did he ask us, nonmembers, our thoughts on SA and what needed to be done to make us, the D&S, one big happy family again. In my opinion, that speaks volumes for the club!!!! Just wanted to say thanks to Eric for taking the time out of his night, especially when he hadn't had any sleep in over 36 hours, to really try and get things back to the way they were a year ago. We aren't all going to always agree on everything, but it is how we coexist together that makes us world famous.....I mean come on everyone......over a year ago, almost everyone on SL wanted to live in the D&S and now with all our drama, I doubt that is the case for half of them......Eric took the first step by trying to bring us all together and trully ask our opinion, let's keep his momentum going and get back to the way we were when I fist joined over 18 months ago!!!!!!!!

What a BIG step in the right direction... we need to keep it going!!

 

One thing I enjoyed a lot about this weekend was that there was absolutely no concerns for what club people were in. No one was like "I don't want to hang out with him because he isn't in Scikotic." or "I don't want to hang out with him because he isn't in Scion Apocalypse". Everyone came together and hung out as friends, not rivals. For the past few months I have kind of backed off from posting here with all the drama going on, but after this weekend I must say I am very glad to be a part of this community.

True, true. Everyone made those of us from Cali feel extrememly welcome. We were commenting to each other how cool it was that the clubs weren't broken up into thier own little camps as can sometimes be the case.

Bravo for all the good will at this show.

Thanks Kyle for the kind words. We are just as much of this community as anyone else, but we have a name attached to us as does any other club.
We are really trying to get things going here and step it up. Roswell opened my eyes to a lot of things. Thank you ALL that gave me your input. SA will be doing things in the near future and we hope you all can make it.

It was very cool hanging with you guys. What a weekend! I saw some things that were really cool! Thanks again for the caravan home, it made the trip less sucky! plus, you guys kept me awake!

I second that notion....finally got me my show....only one year waiting and who cares if I had to share it with everyone else, I was glad to do so!!!

Thanks again to everyone for making my last vacation of the year a great one!!!! We only get so much time a year to take vacation and if we can have trips like this one, I would use every bit of vacation on those trips!!!!!

 

It sure was awesome hanging out with everyone! My ribs still hurt from laughing so much on Saturday night.
