Hello everyone, I have not been on here in some time. I recently moved from El Mirage to 19th ave and Tbird. I purchased a condo. Weve been there for 2 weeks and some a@#ho$$ decided to break into my car. I seen the kid at 3:15 in the morning. I ran down to my car and he took off in a truck. I got the plates, but they came back stolen. He made off with my Kenwood, and managed to bust my window, scratch up my painted dash, and put two giant scrathes down my door, with whatever tool he was trying to break in with. Luckily I have full coverage insurance, but still it sucks. I hate people who disrespect others cars. If anyone comes across a Kenwood reciever being sold its probably mine.

1sicbox, what did the truck and the kid look like. I work at 19th Ave. and Peoria and would be more then glad to keep an eye out for them.

 

Sorry to hear about your car, there is a thread on hear about the same thing that happened to someone else's xb. You have to read my post about the same thing that happened to me years ago with my prized mustang.

The truck was a old chevy. Probably 88 0r 89. It was two tone, brown on top and tan in the middle. The plate was WLE-725. It came back stolen though. So he probably dumped the truck somewhere.

Wow man!! That ish sucks. Is AZ prone to getting cars stolen?? I'm not saying anything bad cuz I love AZ but 2 of my dad's cars have been stolen. And both have been retrieved except for the last one was found in mexico.

 

yup, last i heard we were in the top 5 for getting cars stolen...might've been #1 i don't remember.

I'll keep my eye out for the vehicle while on patrol...I work from I-17 to 7th ave and from Peoria south to Osborn!

And YES, Phoenix has been #1 before for Auto Theft but now I think were #3...

I caught 2 chuds breaking into a car today while working plain clothes in the area of 17th ave and Missouri...

Ya thanks yellowsub.. The phoenix PD were actually pretty cool. They had respect for the scion and felt my pain. Once I'm back in action I'll be attending some meets..

What a bummer.--I had by window busted out about a year ago in an attempt to get my stock stereo (I guess). The low lifes ran off when spotted. I had to pick glass out of the interior for 6 months and now have a small dent on the door and some scuffs on the interior. This is the main reason I have not installed any audio/video upgrades.
