Thinking of joining the lightside
As much as I love my xA, I want something different (faster/nicer). Since I go through cars every two years, it's time for a change. I've been looking at used Maximas, Altimas, WRX's, etc. However, you guys and the evil machine (Scionetics D&S peeps and Scion) make it hard to leave!
So what's a boy to do? Get a tC? As much as I hated them in the beginning, it's tough to beat in the under $17k price range, and it would make my commute a little more enjoyable.
Thoughts? Opinions? Advice? I'll likely buy from Big Two or Camelback.

I was kind of thinking along the same lines as Mark. Wait at least until the specs for the xD and xB2 are released. They may have a little more go. Probably not enough more, but some. That 3.0 tC does sound pretty good too.
I know the 3.5 Altima's are fast as hell. They are also capable of 30+ mpg. Maybe not at the same time, but it's hard to tell. I work with a guy that has one that gets 30+ and another guy I know never got more than 24. The funny thing is the one with the better mileage is the one that used to autocross his GLH turbo before he sold it. (I still can't figure out why they made a fast Omni)

The official unveiling is next month at the Chicago auto show. I assume that they will also release full specs then since they are letting part manufacturers measure the cars before that.

Minivan + front mount intercooler + 18psi = lot of embarrassed imports.I really don't care for the xD (in speculation), but the xB2 might be decent. I'm limited to 64" in height to fit in my garage, so I hope it's not too much bigger.
v6 Altimas are easy to find, but not with a manual transmission. About 1 out of 100 it seems. I don't want an automatic.
I have a 20 mile commute (each way), a 7 year old, and need at least 25mpg.
