So, my buddy and i might take a road trip in june to tombstone. Being that we're from Sacramento, CA we have no idea what there is to do near there. Any suggestions?

Well right down the road from there is a town called Bisbee. It was rated as one of the Top 10 small towns in the country to visit. Pretty cool place. old mining town set on the side of a mountain.

Go a little more south and you hang out with the National Guard and the Minuteman efforts at the border.

Of course you will be going through Tucson to get there so there is tons of stuff to do there.

We did this trip last year and it was a great time.

I took my dad to Kartchner Caverns last week what an awesome thing to see and to hear about. Just amazing. $5 parking and $19 to get in to the tour. Its not too far north of Tombstone right off I-10 and worth the trip.

Cheers

We used to drive from Sierra Vista to Apache/Roosevelt lake to go fishing/sking almost every weekend.. Now that I have lived here in Phx for the last 12+ years.. I have not been one time.. how sad is that?

That's ok dude -- I'm in the same boat -- 5 years and I've only been to Sedona once, well twice, but that day I seemed to be in the dog house, so it wasn't as fun as I hoped.

Old Tucson is kinda Boring and expensive unless they are having a concert, but right down the road is the Sonora Desert Museum ,and in Gates pass is a wildlife museum,
As for Bisbee way cool town lots of old HIPPIES still live there and drive VW's my friend has a VW shop there and is always busy, you can take the Copper Queen mine tour and stay @ the Copper Queen Hotel or they have a trailer park there that has old Airstream Trailers done up 50's style ......then there is of course Tombstone......Stay @ the Holiday Inn Express it's the cleanest and newest tell Brenda Wade sent ya.

Bisbee!!! The trailer park has an old diner in front, good cheap eats. I ate there the weekend I worked as an extra for the Stephen King movie...
