"Trailer Queens"
Hello everyone.
I was at the roswell show, and I got many complaints about trailering my car, both before, and after I did it. Many people were calling it a "trailer queen" which is ridiculous.
First off, a trailer queen is a car that never sees roadway, so before you go off thinking my car is never driven, let me tell you, it is a daily driver. A daily driver in an area that I can trust the roadways.
I also had one xB owner call it a "trailer queen" when they drove a non-lowered xB; I would imagine you would never have to worry about scraping with 6"s of ground clearance.
Then, another owner told me to go park it by the trailered tC's because it was unfair for a "queen" to be by his car.
It is not only me that is catching crap for this, I saw a post where a fellow was asking about a trailer for his tC and everyone was giving him a hard time about it, for what?
I for one would rather trailer my car, not ruin my hard work, and have a full size pickup to lounge in, and stuff my crap in instead of risking my interior pieces as well. Is it jealousy that brings out the crap-talker?
I know that surfcitylocal and mr. sparkle drove their EXTREMELY nice, and best of show winning cars all the way from California, and that is awesome!
I know it can be done, I did it last year, and felt towing ould be a better option this year.
So whats the deal? Are the people of the scion community going to turn on one another because of a trailer? If so I had might as well join something stupid like the cavalier community, and go race some mustangs through neighborhoods like the rest of those idiots.
So bring on the flaming! Let me know what the dealio is. If people are going to act like that over a few tires and some metal than maybe it isnt a community I want to be a part of.

Well the tC owner was AwesometC aka Ron.. Well.. We give him crap no matter what.. trailer no trailer.. BUT his tC disappears and comes back stepped up another notch than what it was before so I have to give him major props on his ride.
Now having your ride called a Trailer Queen can be taken both ways.. Bad and Good. I have known tons of ppl that tow thier rides to different events and Yea I give them crap because of it but, its all in Jest... I wish I could afford a truck and trailer to haul my ride around. So if they talk trash its cause they can't. I'd blow it off.. Your going to find the "trailer queen" tag be put on any venue of rides.. Mini Trucks.. Custom cars.. Scions etc.
just my 2cents...

Dustin -- It's all good man. Don't sweat it. If you remember last years show there was at least one xb that was trailered in. No biggie. I'd do it if I had the chance. Sit back - Take a breath -- It's all good. And as far as the Cavalier thing -- Civics are still faster and way cheaper to build.
Get a good nights rest and let it go.
Take Care Man

Hey man if I would have known you were going to take so personal you should have said something. We jest alot in our club and that's just us. I have friend's who are street rodder's and they trailer there car's to show's and were alway's joking about it. I relize now that some people get there feeling's hurt real easy. I APOLOGIZE if I hurt your feeling's. And no I'm not jealous that you towed car I could care less all that matter's is that you had a good time in Roswell and hope to see you next year, trailer queen or driver it's all good.

I dont understand the point of this thread?
Who built the car?
Who pays for repairs?
Now who's opinion is the only one that should matter?
let the haters be motivaters.

i wish i had gone cause i would have told them to STFU!
who givesa flying donkey doo doo if you trailered your car.
you didnt want to take the risk of damaging it on the road to roswell, and thats what they fail to understand.
lets see the possibilities:
hitting an animal
maybe rocks from other drivers hitting your windshield
possible damage for aweful roads
and things of that nature.
you were right in your decision to trailer it because you had your cars best interest at heart.
hopefully i can go next your just to witness the crap talk these fellow scion lifers do, and ill be the first to put them in there place

I have to agree with awesometC on this one, it is all in good fun!!!! If you took the comments seriously enough to let it upset you then I am sorry for that, but you need to kick back and relax!!! As someone already said in this thread and in the immortal words of a very smart man.....
Don't Worry, Be Happy!!!!!
Enjoy your xB for what it is, a gorgeous box that got a nice fluffy ride to the show!!! One thing my mother told me growing up is the only person's opinion that counts is your own. If you like something or wanted to do something(like trailer your car), who the he!! cares what everone else thinks. As long as you are happy with the decisions you make in life then that is all that should matter!!!

I'd trailer my car too, but apparently it's all free anyways.
If you have the resources to trailer your car...by all means friggin do it! You only got jabbed at cause you are from NM and they are from lame states.

Yeah, real rough when you don't pay for anything....nice seats by the way, too bad they couldn't at least put them in for you!
As far as the trailer queen things goes, relax, enjoy life and don't worry so much about what others think!!! Who the he!! cares. The only persons opinion that should matter is your own. As someone on this thread has already said and in the immortal words of a brilliant man.....

I konw I never gave you crap for trailering your car, but if you took offense to me razing awesometC(a very close, personal friend of mine) then I am sorry for that!

Sara here --- sorry the kidding got out of hand. Lot's of things happen that some people think are funny while others may disagree. At the show for me is was the "balloon thing" that got alittle out of hand, but hey most people where laughing, it was me who had the problem. (Funny yes-just not in public with kids around.)
Look at it this way- think how many people call the XB a toaster. It is a big joke and they laugh. Do we get our pride damaged? NO it becomes a badge of honor. So my advise is use the trailer and take pride in your ride.
Come to think of it, do you think Scion changed the XB body style because people called it a toaster? Please say it's not so.

I agree with everyone else. Heck, if I could afford the gas and had the truck and trailer. Mine would have gone that way too.
If I would have told you that, it would have been in good fun. Just like I told Ron that. There are many reasons to trailer. I just hope you had fun, for the most part, at the event. I hope to see you again next year!!!!

Dont worry about it. Some people just need to say things they dont alway mean or think about. When you are in the upper crust or look that way ie trailing your car. People like to give you a hard time about your car. Seems to just be the way it is with cars and people
we all take awesome care of our cars. kudos to those of us who want to spend the extra money to move it from one place to another without driving it since there certainly are questionable areas on the freeways in between major cities.
i personally would have driven but only because i'm no longer worried about my car getting super beaten up over a long drive and it isn't a show car.
IF it were a show car and I had the extra vehicle and trailor to pull it, I would probably trailer it. Who wouldn't??

You shouldn't care what others think..... Id I had a bad A$$ car that I put so much time into the paint and into the car in general. I would trailer it too and wouldn't care what others though. We used to trailer my budies 70 El camino to show's all the time.
