Utah residents - a few questions
Hi, I currently live in the D.C. area and I'm considering moving to Utah near Provo probably in the next year to 18 months but I've got some questions:
1) Does Utah require a front license plate?
2) How's the weather?
3) Do you like it there?
4) Are there a lot of tC's especially FM one's? (There are like a gazillion FM tC's around here and I was one of the first
)
5) Any local Scion clubs?
Any of this info plus anything you care to add is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
James

#1 yes
#2 four seasons and not as humid as compared to where your at now
#3 ya -- it was ok -- quite a culture shock tho -- I'm not morman so I was considered an outsider -- Park City kicks major butt tho
#4 I've seen one or people post here but not very often -- my guess very few
#5 unsure -- due to the lack of posts here on desert & salt
Take care
Thanks! (Stupid front license plates
) I'm Mormon so the culture shock shouldn't affect too much. Try going from southern Delaware to the D.C. area, talk about culture shock! Summers here really suck, the humidity really gets to ya, so going to someplace with no humidity will be a welcomed experience.
I was up in Salt Lake City...actually Ogden out at Hill Air Force base last week for work and when I flew in it was 10 degree's when I flew in.... talk about cold. The only thing that sucks is the beer is 3.2% beer....
Hey there -- check this site out -- utahscions.com -- from the looks of the main page
they have a handfull of members. It would be nice to hear from them like we hear from
the new mexico folks, but oh well. Hope this helps you some

1. yes(but just tell them you're new in moving here and they'll prolly let you slide)
2. Winter- Cold and snowy, or mild and rainy
Spring- See 'Winter'
Summer- Hot and Dry, afternoon severe thunderstorms are common
Fall- mild and nice... towards the end rainy.
3. yes I do, it's not really that bad
4. haven't seen too many FM tC's... mine is NBM so no worries there
5. www.utahscions.com
make sure to come to a meet when you get here!

1) Yes --- But if you drive like a civil normal person its wont be a problem, I dont have a plate on the front of my box.
2) I love the weather here, its dry and crisp. Cold and snowy in the winter then hot during the peak of sumer. But it offers you the chance to do lots of ski/boarding and then lots of hiking and camping.
3) I really like it here, but I fall close to the typical mormon. Not that I am a religious zelot or anything.
4) there is not a lot of any type scion here, population state wide is just more then 2 mill.
5) Only the best scion club ever --> utahscions.com
Everyone seems to take some time to love this state.
