So I am thinking of driving my car down to Rocky Point this weekend. Good Idea or bad idea?

 

Just make sure you buy some Mexican Insurance and watch your back with that box...

 

I say hells no!! It would totally not be worth it to get that thing messed up, or stolen. I would get a rental car where you can get mexico insurance and then have a worry free weekend. That's what a vacation is for, no worries and to step back from reality!!!

 

Yeah, my buddy wanted me to take my car, but I think it would stick out like crazy down there.

i dont think its a bad idea. ive driven my xb down there 4 time already. without mexican insurance. unless you have lowered your suspension then you should be fine.

 

So it is a pretty safe trip than? We are staying in a hotel above the Baja Grill and Cantina. Mexican insurance would be like $50 for two days.

 

I've never had problems when I've gone down there. The roads have been really improved over the last couple years, and as long as it isn't a stupid crazy weekend, you shouldn't have any problems with drunks running into you. The biggest issues I've had down there were because of drunk americans in lifted trucks hitting parked cars on the side of the road.

Besides, that's what the insurance is for.

I didn't take it. I am glad. Seeing how I didn't have a really nice condo to stay at, I am sure my car would of ended up with big scratches all over it. It was Easter weekend down there, so it was packed with locals.

 

make sure to buy a some cervesa VICTORIA.

 

I say drink a bottle of Jose Quervo and hall a$$ and dont stop for nothing each way !!! Bring guns for late night partying and bring me back a mexican midget...

You don't need to relate the pics to Scions to post in the region. I always post pics when I come back from trips overseas. Of course we didn't have local mods then, but I don't think it breaks any rules to share with people you know.
