Default A Week long Oil Change!

Well I took the TC for an oil change Last friday to Camelback Scion. All service was awesome, even got a chance to talk to mark for a while. They even gave the car a free bath, i thought this was a good thing???? So I get home and am walking back out to the car to go to work and looked at the driver door and there is huge scratches down the door.

Now i Dont know about you guys but i am the type of person who gets out of bed every morning and walks around my car about three times looking for new dings and what not.(since i dont have the pleasure of a garage that i can park in.)So there is a huge scratches on the door. And to make it worse they werent just little straight down the door scratches the went up and down and side to side. And just about every one went all the way through the paint.

So i called up the dealership and i wont lie, I was pretty ____ed at the whole situation and asked to talk to whoever was in charge of the place. That got me connected to a man by the mane of Rob Humphrey(Not sure what his title is, maybe mark can fill in for me). From there on out the service was excellent. I would have to say that they treated me like they cared that my car had been damaged and that is the reason why i will always take my car back to them even thorugh all this.
So he tells me to bring my car back down so he can take a look at my car. When i got there he came right out and looked. Sent my car back to be buffed on for a minute to see if they could get the scratches out or not and then he told me my car would have to go to the body shop. So i was thinking great more of an inconvience now i have to find rides everywhere till i get my car back. He then goes on to tell me that they will hook me up with a rental car while my car is getting fixed and will take care of all chrages.

So i drop car off at body shop and then off to toyota rental i go. Well i start the paper work and they figure out that i am not 21 yet.(which is a big problem when your trying to rent a car). He says he cant do anything for me and is not sure how to make tis right. Well i suggested enterprise rental since they will rent to you if your car is in the shop and you are under 21 and have full coverage insurance. He says great, has the people call enterprise and they come get me, he says he will cover the bill and not to worry about it.

So far i am very happy with my service from camelback scion. I think that i should have got a couple of oil changes for free or something but i am just happy my car is getting fixed.

As of right now my car is still at the body shop and was supposed to have been done wedensday by noon by no call yet. So i will keep you posted. I hope that Camelback continues with its great service through the end of this ordeal. I keep telling myself this is to easy, so hopefully it will be............and i hope the paint matches, cause they said they were just painting the door...anyone have any input or experience on just painting the door and how well its going to match and what i should be looking for when i go to pick it up. I already made it clear to the body shop that if the couldn't match the door right that i wanted the show car done, so it doesnt look stupid and the guy assured me it will match.

I had a similar experience at Desert Scion in Tucson, I got the TRD exhaust installed when I went out to the car there was a huge scratch in my front bumper. I went and got the manager he then proceded to explain to me that the scratch must have been there when I brought the car in, so I asked to see the walkaround report before the car went in for maintenance. There was no mention of the scratch so the manager got me a rental and fixed it. Just one thing go back during the day and inspect it closley. I picked mine up at night the next day I looked at it and there was mad overspray acrost the bumper. Desert Scion gets 3 thumbs down in my book caveat emptor to all

in the end, a couple oil changes can't make up for how well it sounds they've been with this. You normally don't hear about a dealership just automatically taking car of an issue like this.

I can sympathize with your situation and it sounds like you're handling it well, but try not to be overly demanding. If the car doesn't look like it should when you pick it up, then it deserves to be done right so i'll agree with you there.

It really sounds though like this dealership is doing really well with the situation especially with the fact of your age, and i mean that with no offense. Normally someone would look at someone in their teens and just disregard the situation so them going out of their way to get you a rental is pretty impressive.

Now see how my attitude changes if i take my car in and something happens to my system after its done and it probably wont be the same

Really though, way to go Camelback Scion for handling the situation for the customer to the best of all their abilities. Accidents happen, its how their dealt with afterwards that shows the service of a company when those accidents happen.

Oh i agree. Age has alot to do with how seriously you are taken. But not for them. They never even Blinked an eye when the car was damaged. I have been very greatfull for all they have done with their service. I just hope all stays on track till it is all said and done. I Will Keep Everyone posted.

nothing bad about the dealerships at all (camelback).. but I am very picky on who touches my car. I took mine in to get a oil change and was very quick and easy. I told them I didnt want it washed or anything. Not to touch the tires nothing, just change the oil. So I get home that evening and pop the hood and they had splashed oil all over engine cover. Well now that I have the header and all that in there I wont take it back there. I am afraid they will splash oil on the header and stain it. I am very picky when it comes to stuff like that. I had a very hard time getting the spots out of the cover.
I am very glad to hear they are taking care of you on this though. Camelback seems to have there stuff together when it comes to a customer. If I ever get rid of my scion, camelback will always be on the top of the list of dealerships that I go to.

Well got more news on the car..They tried to paint the door but cant get the paint to match(flint micca). so they are going to try to blend and paint from front fender to back quarter panel. So we will see. I am very happy with service so far and how they are handling it, i just hope they can make it look right for me.
