Quick question for someone out there...

When did we move back in time to Germany in the mid-1940's...a place where freedom of speech has been taken away from the masses and censored by a governing party???

This is an open, general forum and yes we may, as a group, ask people to take issues somewhere else, but that should be our choice in doing so. Not the choice of some supermod that decided to delete only specific content from the thread, but leave other portions. You should have just deleted the entire thread if you are going to go that route. In fact, why don't you just tell us what we can and can't talk about so we don't upset anyone else! There was nothing hateful or hurtful in any of those post, it was a conversation where two individuals where trying to get on the same page so that we may be able to move on and grow as a group...to go ahead and delete the content was pointless and a misuse of power, IMO!!! I can understand if someone is belittling someone else or slandering them, but when it is an open conversation and everyone is being an adult.....What was the point???

 

i was thinking da same thing! deleting stuff only causes more drama to stir up. if you talking like an adult and trying to resolve an issue, let it be!

 

I agree to a point. That thread was getting off track and going downhill fast which was doing no good then other than to stir up old issues and problems that we are moving past.

If anything was done locking it would of sufficed, but hey Im not a mod.

 

I'm doing the best I can in a region that unbelievable drama right now. I saw that thread as an attempt of moving on which is what we need. Leaving all those comments create a negative attitude and arguing in a positive starting thread.

I have nothing against Robert and miss him in the community myself. I feel that if he only comes in this forum to post about what happened in the past with what was said we're never going to move forward and if David wanted to apologize publically he would have done so already.

I understand your frustration Kyle but please understand mine as well. I will not be locking or deleting this thread as that obviouslt gets really mixed reviews from people. But please remember I'm just trying to change the mood in our region and this thread is no help to that.

 

Just wanted you know Scott that sometimes we don't show it but we all appreciate what you in the forums. It is a sucky job butt you stepped up and did it.

 

I understand all points, but Scott. Not to attack you or anything. You cant play favorites. I myself like Robert and miss him as well. But the postion you are in, cant allow you to favor Robert over David or vise versa. I do not agree with some posts being deleted or locked. but at the same time I wouldnt want your job.

 

the only favored party in this decision was D&S. If i really did favor Robert I would have left all those posts up calling out dwest for an apology don't you think? When I make mod decisions on this thread I already realize I can't choose favorites and factor that into my decision making. Seeing as how I am a Scikotiks member I really have to seperate my decisions to be fare to everybody, which is exactly what I do.

I like you too Chris and had I favored you before we would have a joke thread, but I made a decision that I thought was best for our region and followed the guidelines for SL as best as possible.

Like I said, I dont agree with some of the things mods do, not just you. But I still wouldnt want your job. I was not at all attacking you.

Normally, I would be 100% with Kyle on this but, in THIS situation, I think that you did about the right thing. We can't keep reliving the past and it really should never come up in other threads anyway.
