Worst Super Bowl Ever...
No insult to Steelers fans, but I had to be the first to post that I have never seen officiating that bad! No sour grapes from this girl, my team was out long ago... but if your gonna win, win fair.
Oh, and the commercials... sucked!
On the bright side I do want to thank Zach for the entertainment and everyone who stopped by to enjoy the game at our house... It too bad we didn't take pics! (Lucky for you, Zach) lol

the commercials sucked??? that's the only reason why i ever watch super bowl! so no pictures of zach going crazy huh? well it sounds like you guys had a good time. sorry we missed out!
There were some bad calls, but that's part of the game. The Steelers were on the other end of the bad calls a couple of years ago in the AFC championship game. So far they haven't found a way to remove the judgement calls from the game.
i think that was they Gayest super bowl, i couldnt believe their choice of music when they had the teams come out on the field....whats up with have "bitter sweet symphany" play when the seahawks came on.
From what i watched I thought some of the commercials were good, the Budweiser commercial where he had the fridge turn around and the neihbors were praying to the fridge god was pretty funny.
I though that was a horrible call made to give the Steelers the touchdown when that player got tackled right on the line and then moved the ball foward. I don't follow sports nor do i have any favorites so i didnt care who won.

Now I took a lot of abuse all day. Just be lucky I'm not really going on and bragging about today.
The ball broke the plane (just barely) on that play. The really bad call was the offensive pass interference that should have been a Seattle touchdown in the first quarter.
As far as the commercials go, review them here:

I personally loved the budweiser commercials. And the Michelob commercial where that chick gets flattened. And the Sprint "crime deterrent". And MacGuyver, FedEx Cavemen, and the careerbuilder monkeys.

Actions that constitute offensive pass interference include but are not limited to:
(a) Blocking downfield by an offensive player prior to the ball being touched.
(b) Initiating contact with a defender by shoving or pushing off thus creating a separation in an attempt to catch a pass.
(c) Driving through a defender who has established a position on the field.
---------------------------------
contact is contact, whether be it your on offense OR defense. it's a no-no and you will get flagged. it was the back judges discretion to make the call and he did. was it correct? by rule yes, in Seattle fans' eyes, no. But that's the game!

The defense is given a 5 yd bump zone as are the offense. after that 5 yds no more contact.
im done defending the steelers, ive been doin it all season.
we won, we got the trophy, we got the ring
time to celebrate vindication, because we were counted out of contention when we dropped 3 in a row against, Baltimoe, Indy and Cincy.
and now we're super bowl champs and all the nay sayers love us

There was a good beer commerical but it didnt air. Pretty much 2 guys at a bar, bar tender steps away, guy jumps over the bar to get bottles of beer. bar tender comes back,
he hids bent over under the bar. someone orders a beer and the bar tender uses the guys butt for a bottle opener,

Zach said it best...You can't make contact and push/shove off, period...If the Steeler defender did that I can guaranty you that they would have called him for defensive pass interference...As far as Ben's touchdown goes. Yes it was close but you must understand that the tip of the football only needs to break the plain of where the white of the goal line begins, not cross into the actual endzone...I think everyone is confused, Ben broke the plain with the nose of the football on the initial surge, not after the play seemed done and by him reaching...I'll give it to you, it was close and could have went either way but the judge on the field ruled it a touch down and therefore the referee who reviewed it could only over turn the call on the field if there was indisputable evidence that he did not break the plain of the goal line... It is obvious by the controversy people are bringing up that it was close and therefore the referee made the right call for not overturning the initial call on the field...Finally, I must admit that the Steelers did not look sharp in the first half but neither did the Seahawks...The Steelers came out in the second half and played better football and outplayed the Hawks...Steelers = 2005 Super Bowl XL Champions...Peace
yeah to bad the ref wasnt going to give it to Ben on the initial sugre but then changed his mind. One hand up then took another look and raised his second hand seconds later no at first. hmmmm.
Never saw the ball cross the plain no matter hows times you look at the replay. No ball over the plain means no touchdown.
Bad call and indecisions arent a good thing in the NFL. Just happened a lot this year though. The refs are taking a beating but they sure deserve it from all the bad calls they made this year.
We wont talk about the holding penalty that wasnt or some of the other bad calls in the game.

But they lost it themselves. Yeah that got shot down by a few calls, but they killed themselves more with horrible kicking and missed catches. Josh Brown missed two field-goal attempts, four punts went for touchbacks. I can't count the passes that should of been caught and weren't.
